Went back to my real job last week. I was totally dreading it, and I was sad when I had to leave Vega but as soon as I started driving I was fine. And working was great, I really missed everyone and my job is just so awesome. It's nice to get out of the house, go out to lunch every day and have adult conversation as well. The bad part though is that, typical, the day before I went back to work I got sick. Saturday I ended up with laryngitis and Sunday I literally had no voice at all. I'm doing much better now though. I still sound a bit like Bea Arthur, but I feel fine.
Other than that, life is fabulous. Tony and I are waiting to hear back about a house we want to rent. I'm hoping it works out for us, or that we find something else this month. I want to move to a new place asap.
Monday I did makeup and hair for a project for
Frank Strunk III, which was super fun. I can't wait to see the pix.
Tonight I got an email from
James Ryder asking me to model for a makeup workshop on Monday night so I'm going to do it. I can't believe they remembered me. Anyways if any of you aspiring makeup artists are looking to take a workshop, this one kicks ass, I highly recommend it. They'll be in Tampa area this week and next, and in a bunch of other cities this year,
CHECK IT OUT It was super cold out last week. You'd never guess it now though, seeing as how it was 91 degrees out today. Crazy FL weather. The blurry head is Beatrix
The cats love him
He smiles now, of course never for the camera so all I have so far is this blurry one
And 10 seconds later he was upset by me taking so many pix....
I gave him his first haircut last week. Consequently, he got his first "go to the salon and have Auntie Alice fix his bad haircut" the next day. lol. It actually wasn't that bad, just kinda choppy, so alice used some teeny trimmer clippers with a guard around the side to give him the baby 'hawk.
This is part of my route when I take Vega for walks, just a few blocks away from where I live. The water was looking very pretty a few days ago.
