Today has been weird
The day started off well enough, just had to get up early to go into work for a meeting and to queery my schedule.... The meeting was long and fairly boring but its went quickly enough I suppose. My schedule sucks.... its fairly normal until the 10th of August... they've put me down for 8 til 4... instead of my usual 10.15 - 4.15. The store is open 10 til 4 and I usually stay til quater past just to do the newspaper returns and general tidying up.... So the stupid computer decided to put me on 8 til 12 on the deli and 12.30 til 4 on tills. So I get half an hour unpaid break and god knows when I'm supposed to get the returns done.... Ugh!!!! And my normal six hour Sunday shifts kill me because they're so crappy so eight hours will probably knacker me even more. XDDDD
After the meeting I hoofed off up Town to drop Mags' cosplay off and half way there (while diverting for petrol) my car suddenly spun out. Scared the crap out of me though fortunately I managed to not only control the car but come off without any damage to anything - except my nerves which took about 10 to 15 minutes to calm down. After I had stopped the car I then kept going to the petrol station at ASDA and then into the shop but when I had just come off the island where I had skidded I checked my rear view mirror and a car behind me had done the exact same thing in the same place so I think there was a diesil (SP?) spill there or something. I'm actually quite proud of myself for being able to control the car so much, seeing as its not something you're actually taught when learning to drive. Watching Initial D helped I suppose.... as I knew to steer into the spin and remove my foot from the accelerator and then wait until I was essentially slidding parallel before counter-steering and then easing onto the brake. But dear god that took some years off my life. Luckily the rest of my day's travelling was uneventful... though I got stuck in front of so many cop cars I was beginning to think there was some mass conspiracy against me or some thing. lol.
Got home and have just done fuck all since. Hahah. Well I stole/copied a new LJ theme from
draiolbecause their Ukitake Love theme was irresistable. XDDD
And a novel fact for me is that I've discovered my car has a CD player on the radio.... but it's one of those hidden access things so I never noticed it before. I love my car... while cleaning it I not only discovered it has lots of hidden spaces but I also uncovered the missing manuels for it. XDDDD Its like a spy car with all its hidey-holes in it.
