Busy Week Ahead For Me...
I shouldn't even be writing in my LJ right now, I simply have too much to do. The only reason why I doing this is because my type teacher just walked by and said "Take a break. Take a break right now. It's nice that you're putting so much effort into my project but I'll feel bad if it costs you your sanity". I can only imagine what I looked like that caused her to say this. I was going to post about the wonderful weekend I had but I'm just not in the mindset to recall relaxation right now. Instead, I will take a cue from my fellow "sufferer or finals" Danielle and write out what I need to do over the next few days. Peek under the cut if you dare...
Monday
11:50 - Go to office and give check. Pray classes havent been cut. they weren't thank god
12:00~3:00 - Illustration class
2:00 - Illustration break go to lab and print version four of my type book (all ten spreads) and caption experiments.
3:00 - meeting with Angie (type teacher) in A2.
3:00~4:00 - Finish math homework by doing coin flip experiment before class.
4:00~5:00 - Math class.
5:00~7:20 - Work on Type project until bus comes.
7:20~8:20 - Shuttle home. Work on math final.
8:30~9:00 - Dinner
9:00~9:30 - Print dummy book and bind using the seven hole stitch method. Paper used depends on meeting results.
9:30~10:00 - Make cheesecake
10:30~? - Work on Tools Final until sleep overcomes me.
Tuesday
11:00~11:50 - Work on Tools final during bus ride to school.
11:50 - Check bank account balance. If ING transfer has gone through pay Chela online.
12:00~4:00 - Work on Illustration project.
4:00~7:00 - Typography class. After desk crit leave and work on Tools final.
7:15~10:15 - Tools class. Work on final.
10:15~11:15 - Shuttle home. Work on Math final.
11:30~? Finish as much of Illustration project as possible. Must have at least full set of roughs if not a finished poster.
11:30~? Take break from Illustration to melt chocolate and coat cheesecake.
Wednesday
11:00~11:50 - Make any minor adjustments to Type or Tools project. If Math final is not done, finish first.
12:00~3:00 - Final presentation for Illustration class. Hope for at least a B.
3:00~4:00 - Work on Tools project until shuttle comes.
4:00~5:00 - Keep working on Tools project during ride home.
evening - Finish Tools project and print out. Print out final book for Type class and bind into a hardcover book.
Thursday
11:00~4:00 - If for some reason Tools final isnt done yet then finish.
4:00~7:00 - Submit final book for Type class.
7:15~10:15 - Submit final prints and files for Tools class.
Friday
Sleep the sleep of the dead.
So that's my week. God I'll be happy when it's all over. I'll try and post pics of my finished projects for anyone who's interested. For those that don't know my final projects are as follows. For Typography I had to write a term paper on Matthew Carter (big name typographer) and turn it into a book, complete with spread of his type work. Minimum five spread, which equals ten pages. For Tools class we were given five, two-page PDF's. We are to recreate these PDF's in InDesign to match the originals perfectly. We are to do this by measuring the placement of all the imagery and text and recreating it accordingly. For Illustration I have to do a portrait poster of someone (I'm doing Alice Cooper) that is non-realistic (meaning not like a photo) and with several secondary images that are representative of the person. Math is just a plain old take-home exam. Which is a bit refreshing considering all the other projects. Ok, my eyes are focusing again so back to work. What a refreshing 15minutes this has been...
