Happy birthday my treasure!

My lovely daughter, you turned 3 years old yesterday! Two was a roller coaster and I imagine three will be an even bigger adventure. I can't wait to see what it brings.
Last year you had so many firsts. You moved from your crib to a big girl bed, you moved with Mama and Daddy and your kitties acrosss the world to Scotland, and back again, you started nursery school, you got potty trained, you made friends that I didn't know and that is just a few of theings that were new.
We had so many adventures! We rode on the "sleeping train" to and from London from Aberdeen 3 times, we drove to Loch Ness with Auntie Cesa, we went to Stonehaven and Dunottar Castle with Ivy and hiked on the cliff wall (scary for Mama, you loved it), we went to Balmoral with Ahmie and Papa Tim, and to Edinburgh on the train with Nana Linda, Papa Dan and Mimi and you made friends everywhere we went! You also went to Flickr meets and took your very own pictures and made your very own friends, and you went to your very firt outdorr concert when we went to Runrig on Loch Ness. It poured down rain the entire time we were there but you loved every minute!
You have become a world traveler and you are wonderful at it. You don't complain even when the days are long. You are happy to be with your Mama and your Daddy.
We did have some hard times and some sad times this year. You are finding your own voice and sometimes that is hard for your Daddy and me and we struggle, but we are all human and we are all learning to have patience with each other. When we left Aberdeen you were very sad. You didn't understand why we were leaving our home, and why someone else was going to live there. You kept telling me, "but it is OUR home". You were right, but we will have a new home soon, and very soon you became excited to go to your 'Pokane home again. We also had to say goodbye to your kitty Othello the day before your birthday. You still don't understand this and it breaks my heart. You tell me you want him to go to another doctor so he will feel better sine you want him to live at your home. It is heart wrenching for your Daddy and me to try to explain, but we will get there.
Your birthday was yesterday and you were so excited! We gave you a shopping cart with food and you want to make supper for everyone now. I am looking forward with great joy and anticipation to see what this next year brings our family. It will be a new adventure and with you that means a new joy everyday! I love you very much my beautiful child and I am delighted that I get to share your life!
