One of my favorite comedians is Larry Miller.
One of his best stand-up sketches is "Just Words" and it was shown on HBO Comedy some years ago. I have never been able to find a copy. So far as I can tell, it does not exist as a commercial product. I had a tape of a tape of a tape, but it eventually wore out and my VCR ate it. Burp.
Now I hear rumors that HBO Comedy will be showing "Just Words" again - this August 4th, 7th, 18th, 20th, 25th and 31st, if various sources are to be believed.
But alas, I have no cable, for I am a Luddite, and a cheap one at that.
Many of those on my Friends list understand what it is to be a fanboy/goob/geek. Many of them may also have cable tv and HBO Comedy.
I rarely make any requests of my LJ circle, but does anyone out there feel like taking pity on a poor, deprived, cable-less creature and taping this sketch for me? It would mean a great deal to me (and I have the means to make it worth your while in a variety of ways which far exceed mere remuneration for a videotape and postage).
Thanks all!
