So I don't know how many of you know about this...Dave and I are getting a dog!! YAY!!! We went first to the Avenues in Jax and I found out that they have a puppy store!! That's a dangerous place for me... Anyways, I played with most of the puppies in there and then fell head over heels in love with this Siberian Husky puppy. If you saw him you'd want to put him in your jacket and try and sneak out! He was only 8 months old and he was soooooooooo cute!!! Unfortunately Dave and I couldn't buy him for moral reasons...all those dogs come from puppy mills. For those of you that may not know what that is, it means they cage them up and breed them like crazy and don't take care of them the way they should so they develop all kinds of illnesses and sometimes are not well tempered..
But...for my birthday, because I was sooooo upset about not being able to get the little husky from the store, Dave went behind my back and put in an application to the Florida Siberian Husky Rescue! He okayed it with our landlord and with Matt and Kitrina. It was supposed to be a surprise, but one day Dave sat in our living room and practically screamed, "Well I don't know when we're going to have time to put up that fence." Of course that spiked my curiosity...so I had to ask why we were putting up a fence when we didn't need one...yeah that was one of my *pat on head* moments. They told me the secret...We just passed our home inspection a couple of days ago and so now we are just waiting for one of the dogs to come up for adoption!!!! YAY!!! Can you tell I'm excited??????
I get a Siberian Husky!! YAY!! *happy dance* Sorry it's been a long time since I've had a dog in my house and I've wanted one since the day I moved off campus!
