wish list meme

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I figured I could use this for both Christmas and my birthday, since they're kind of close, considering that my birthday is on January 29th.

1. Paid account time for my journals. Mainly, this one, since I like using layouts and stuff for this one. But my character ones work too. xD Although Mandy covers that a lot.

2. The Trickster series by Tamora Pierce. That is, Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen. Not hardcover, but paperback.

3. Kirith Kirin by Jim Grimsley. Again, paperback. I can just never seem to find this.

4. Books of the Rai-kirah series by Carol Berg. That would be Transformation, Revelation, and Restoration. Or at least the first one, because it never seems to be in store.

5. The Firefly DVD set. Because, really. Can't get enough of that.

6. Tru Calling DVD set, season one or two. But preferably two. Because they never did broadcast all of it.

7. Books by Meg Cabot, such as All-American Girl or the 1-800-Where-R-U series.

8. Books by Lurlene McDaniel such as Sixteen and Dying, Mother, Help Me Live, Journey of Hope, I'll Be Seeing You, and Let Him Live.

9. Someone that will tell me every single part that Tonks was involved in for the sixth HP book because I don't have time to read it but need it for roleplay reference. xD Hell, someone to just tell me stuff about the sixth book when I need it.

10. A good roleplay game where I can play Bobby Drake, Jubilee, Jake Gavin Jr., etc.

If you want my address(es), email me at hearincolor@aol.com or IM at hear in color. Since I technically have two, and I don't want to put my addresses up here.

Also, this list is subject to change depending on if I get/buy some stuff on the list.
