michael put his lips up to his friend's right temple and left them there a minute, and breathed straight in, breathing straight in to the pulsing temporal lobe.
his friend, surprised, not displeased, took one step back and two to the side, shaking out his hands a little, blinking rapidly 4 times.
'i had the strangest dream just now, jay'
'you were asleep.'
'i was asleep, yes, just for a minute.'
'and you had the strangest dream just now. i was there, i know.'
'it's rare i get excited about anything..'
'youre rarely excited, mike.'
'you know me.'
'so the dream'
'yes, the dream'
'women?'
'no'
'shots fired.'
'no'
'then what?'
jay sat down. 'you were there,' he said, to which mike suppressed a grin.
'yes, i was here'
'i mean in the dream.'
'there, too'
'and it was like wind'
'right. what sort of wind?'
'wind that... was windy.'
'jay.'
'okay, i felt it between my ears. on the inside. it was like i was pondering something, and then that ponderance grew very chilly, very quickly, became a little iced over sphere of something that then rolled in a downward spiral, dropped out of a funnel, and the place in my mind where it had been was left filled with snow.'
'i see'
'you dont believe me'
'i do.'
'this... this happens when im with you'
'only me?'
'yes'
'you do fall asleep often with me'
'are we friends, mike?'
'yes, we're friends.'
'michael, i like the feel of the wind and the ice sphere and the snow'
'shall we spend more time together?'
'that would be nice.'
'alright jay'
michael walked off, leaving his friend sitting on the concrete wall at the side of the triangle parking lot, swinging his legs a bit, vacantly content.
