Kink Bingo is awesome.
Because they have the Chromatic Characters achievement this year, when I was stuck on finding a bunny for my Guns square, I started thinking of fandoms I knew that had guns that had characters of color, rather than trying to add guns to pairings it already occurred to me to write. There are already three fantastic Rodney/John gunplay fics anyway, so I couldn't have written that pairing.
I also have a Vehicular square, in the same line. This has to be a Firefly fic, of course. But instead of defaulting to River/Serenity, as I decided I would write for last year, I have decided that Book deserves more fic and his relationship with Serenity deserves exploration.
Book's also trans. I won't get a Trans Character Achievement for this line, but once the idea was there, it wouldn't leave. Book's been out of the world for a spell.
Oh, I love this show.
(There are issues, for sure, but I've managed to sort of retcon around a lot of it for the purposes of viewing.)
