[For Bastet]

Gotham is lonely without Robin. Terry would of course never admit he misses tag team patrols, but it hasn't stopped him from sending a message to the one other person the city wouldn't be too surprised at.

I figure, after everything, you owe me a hand on the job for a night. Objections?

He gets a text reply first, because you aren't rude to the Goddamn Batman the Second. Time is a funny thing in the Nexus, because she gets this in the morning in her *FUTURE!*, but to him, it may only seem like a few minutes before the reply comes.

Sure. What coordinates you want to meet at?

They're sent along, but no further message is. He'll say everything else in person.

And, once she has time on her end, she puts the Doctor's temporal education class to good use to arrive within a couple of minutes! I'm sure he'd be proud, little miss technically illegal time traveler.

She's in the full suit and everything, stretching a little when she appears via PINpoint. "So what's the gameplan?" She says, after stretching, glancing at Batman.

Terry actually smiles a little. "I'll show you the usual route in a minute. But first, I've got a question."

This earns a raised eyebrow that's fairly obvious even with the opaque visor. "Ask away."

God knows what freakin' Batman would want to ask of measly little Technomancer.

"I know this is kind of out of the blue, but I need some help with Robin and you've been on the news, so it's not quite recruiting out of the Nexus." He keeps his tone neutral as he asks "So, interested in a little training?"

You see, Terry, this is why you should be glad you didn't ask this over drinks. There'd probably be a massive spit-take right about now.

Cue, however, the wide-eyed stare through the visor, "Uh." Blink. Processing response. Blink, blink, "Sure!" :D!

Trained by Batman. What budding superhero doesn't want that on their resume?

"Schway." Well, that was easy.

"We'll go on tour in a minute, but first, tell me about yourself."

"Uh, what do you mean?" She blinks, "I mean, where exactly do I start explaining? I'm Technomancer, use gadgets a relative of mine made, and magic." She gestures and there's a swirl of dark power over one hand, "And I fight hand to hand with the fancy glowing staff you might've seen me use on the news."

"Why?"

"One, family business in a weird little sense, and two? I want to do something about things with all the abilities I have, I want to change the world in what I can only hope is a good way." She is such her MamaEiko's daughter, really.

"Ideals. Weird." Weird my ass, his heart just skipped a beat knowing that there are people out in there in the new generation who believe so strongly in justice.

New generation my ass, they're close enough in age that they could be dating.

"Where're you from, and how much protecting does it need?"

Well, depending on the year it is in Gotham now, their timelines may not be all that far apart. "Philadelphia, but I tend to encompass the Nexus in it too, since my world is pretty lacking in, well. Uh." Fingerquotes, "'The Weird'." Read: More in the Nexus than she admits publically because of said lack of weird.

She's the daughter of the Goddamn Gadgetqueen and Balancekeeper, of course she has some damn ideals. She was raised on ideals.

"Nexus is not a great place to go out peacekeeping. If you get in too far you might not get back out. But hey, we've got a slot open and apparently a common enemy, welcome to Gotham." He pauses, the thought occurring to him belatedly.

"It's 2046, by the way."

"..Man, the Nexus is weird." She says, after a moment. "Because yeah, twenty-fourty-six here, but I'm from the future of twenty-twenty-seven."

"And yeah, I know. Which makes it a bit of a pain in the behind to, yanno, do anything." A little shrug, "Yeah, we do, apparently. Still no freakin' idea who it is, though."

"It's not my future." He shrugs. Apparently that's good enough for him. "It might not even be this part of the Nexus's, from what I understand. The point is, you're here now."

"We'll figure it out the next time they make a move. And believe me, they will. First, though, welcome to your first night on the job." He spreads his wings and jets off, making the usual patrol.
