The Ninja-Style Dancer wanted to stay behind and fight the vampires that separated them from the others, but the approach to the building had to continue. He stayed close to Vin and Jennifer, a shuriken between his fingers and his eyes peeled for any more attackers that may further attempt to split the party.

He assumed that it wasn't far now, nearing a small cluster of apartment complexes. But suddenly a crash brought his attention to the sky, where a figure on one of the upper floors of a nearby building was suddenly falling to the ground. His senses alerted him to something, and reflexively he grabbed the two girls closest to him by the backs of their shirts and pulled them to cover just as the barrage of bullets just barely missed them.

Behind the cover of the wall, he dared a peek at their attacker. Squinting his eyes, he suddenly paled behind the mask at the hulking muscular figure that must have been at least three feet taller than he was. And much, much more heavily armed.

That...just have been Franky.

The Ninja-Style Dancer couldn't help but spare a quick moment for a cue card, even if nobody would be really looking at it by now.

...Oh, crap.

Vin frowned as they headed toward the building that Mechakara had supposedly set up his base in. She didn't like leaving the rest of the group to deal with the monsters, but there wasn't really an alternative. The vampires had clearly been a diversion, sent to slow them down from reaching their goal. They would just have to trust that the others could handle the vampires.

Not that she'd have time to dwell on it when she heard the crash from up above and turned just in time to see a giant man glaring down at them.

"Oh...." And just as suddenly she was being yanked back behind cover, an instant before the hail of gunfire tore into the ground where she'd been standing. Cursing, she ducked back behind the wall, edging as close to the corner as she dared. "Well.... I guess we found Linkara's friend."

Jennifer heard the anguished tear of metal and glass screaming over them, and then she was being yanked backwards, frowning as the bullets spattered against the ground in front of them. There seemed to be some question as to what exactly they were up against, but it must have been Franky, from what Vin said.

"He doesn't seem very friendly. Then again, neither do I." She said quietly, stepping back from the others.

Her shoulders jerked and shuddered, her arms twitching slightly as her skin turned a deep emerald green, her hair growing into a long thatch of forest green curls. Standing in Jennifer's place was the seven foot Amazon, who walked over and picked up a piece of rebar that had come out of the building when Franky appeared.

"So...I'm kinda pissed off today. Don't get in my way." She-Hulk said with a fierce smile.

It landed on the pavement with a huge CRACK of concrete, the pavement unprepared for such a weight suddenly dropped upon it. Wild eyes set on its prey. They dodged the first assault. It didn't mind that much. No, this was better. Up close, ripping them apart itself. Much better.

Its breathing was thick and fast, and the metal supports on its legs creaked as it rose from the crouch it had landed in. The standing was a jerky movement, slow and heavy, but it still wore that twisted smile. It didn't need to be fast, or elegant; it had sheer, brute power on its side.

If the big one said something when stepping forward, it fell on deaf ears. It was only focusing on that this one was now the closest. A guttural noise came from the back of its throat, and it launched itself at her.

The ninja's eyes went wide as he watched Jennifer's transformation. Well. That would certainly even the odds.

Franky lunged at her, he only had a split second to think. He couldn't sit here doing nothing and risk possibly seeing what the big guy could do, even when he was fairly certain in that state that she could stand up to the hulking monster.

He reached for a smoke bomb, throwing it straight ahead as opposed to dashing it against the ground as he typically did, aiming for Franky's face.

Franky hit the ground and Vin burned steel, grinning a little as she saw a few translucent blue lines spring from the center of her chest and connect to a few points on Franky's body.

As Ninja-Style-Dancer moved in with the smoke attack, Vin sprang ahead just ahead of She-Hulk. Flaring her steel, she Pushed backwards on any source of metal she could find behind her anchoring herself for the massive Push she hurled forward at Franky's legs as he charged, hoping to shove them right out from under him.

Franky was charging directly towards her, and She-Hulk would oblige him by meeting him as he came towards her. Vin shot forward in front of her, off to the side, and the idea of going in now was just a little too dangerous for the smaller woman in She-Hulk's eyes. She stopped then, waiting.

Not that she waited idly. She braced herself, ready for Franky to come charging right into her arms. If he was a machine, she knew how to destroy machines. Or at least stop them. Jennifer was whispering inside that she should be wary, that Linkara would be mad if she just ripped Franky's head off, but she would cross that bridge when she came to it.

Blinding it wouldn't have been much of an obstacle alone; it was certainly fine with plowing straight through the choking cloud of smoke that erupted in front of it. However, the sightless rush left it unprepared for the sudden push at its legs. It would have taken a lot to knock it over from any other angle, but it was in a full rush forward, and no one could deny that this build was top heavy.

There was a snarl as it fell forward, but instantly turned the tumble into a roll, momentum keeping its massive figure just as likely to trample anything in its way.

The blow was, though, enough to remove its sneer, and replace it with a fierce scowl. No patience for games; it was not going to play in smoke or darkness. It had no patience for such things--it simply wanted to crush. As soon as the roll led it back to an unsteady crouch, the hatch in its shoulder popped open, and let loose a blast of missiles to cut through the smoke.

Missiles?! Oh come on, that's just not fair. The ninja leaped out of the way of the incoming projectiles, catching a nearby ledge of a window. Maybe if he could catch Franky from behind...

He jumped for Franky's back, slinging an arm around his neck and holding with all his might.

Sorry this took so long! I totally lost these notifs doomedtheworld July 12 2011, 23:59:58 UTC
Well, this was just getting better and better. Vin scowled as Franky launched those missiles, glancing back at She-Hulk. She was the best shot they had to take Franky toe-to-toe... but she also had no way to stop Franky's weaponry.

Which meant that would be up to Vin.

Dropping a coin, Vin jumped into the air, shooting alongside the missiles and Pushed hard against them. Diverting their trajectory away from She-Hulk to keep her path to the cyborg free.

Missles were coming.

As strong as she was, as pumped full of adreneline and anger as she was, she knew she could not face missiles. But then there was Vin, always getting her back, half of a very odd dynamic duo, and She-Hulk continued to run forward. She would meet Franky head on, and reached back as far as she could, putting all of her power into a punch aimed for his face, attempting to send him to the ground on his back.

It hadn't even waited to see where its missiles hit; they were extras, separate. Missing was all the better. It wanted to feel their death.

Instead, now, it felt arms on its neck--pathetically small, clinging, useless. Its first instinct was to rip the leech off and crush it into the ground right there, and oh how it would have liked to, if not for the big one coming in.

Joints and gears grinded, and it ignored the clinging prey, instead aiming to face the charging one full on--the heavy punch collided instead with its large round shoulder, loosing the sound of grinding gears, a reddish steam, and the sharp tangy smell of metal. If there was pain, it did not show any in its leer as it made to grapple with the big fighter. This one had power. It would be good to drive this one down first.

Finding Franky suddenly a lot bigger up close and personal, Ninja started to conclude that maybe this wasn't such a good idea. He held on tight as She-Hulk grappled with the cyborg, when suddenly a strange smell offended his nostrils through the mask. It seemed to be coming from the steam escaping Franky's gears, and it was an oddly familiar smell. A burnt smell, with a sort of copperish tint--

Blood! The Ninja recalled with Linkara said; remove whatever is in his fuel tank. It started to make sense. Ninja tightened his grip around Franky's neck and attempted to pull himself higher to get a better view; where was the fuel tank?

Vin shot to the side from the counterforce of her Push against the missiles, thinking quickly to extinguish her tin before the explosions began, only to burn it again once the last rumble had died down. Burning steel, she Pulls hard to stop herself from pancaking against the wall from the combined forces of the Steelpush and the blast, spinning in midair to land feet first against the lamppost she'd focused on.

Franky was big, very big, and that counted for a whole lot in this fight. Speed and agility were powerful allies and she hoped they were firmly on her side, but they would only get them so far. She knew full well that if a fight against somebody bigger and stronger than you came to sheer grappling, you lose nine times out of ten. She didn't know where She-Hulk stood in that particular contest but she wasn't going to sit by and find out either. All that mass also came with a dangerous weakness, it all rested on his legs and if they took that support out it would put a serious dent in Franky's main advantage, if it didn't remove it at all.

Reaching under her coat, Vin spun her daggers into her hands and jumped away from the post, Pushing off of it as well for extra momentum. Angling herself properly, Vin somersaulted in the air to hit feet first at the back of Franky's knee and stabbed forward to drive her knives into it and, hopefully, damage the machinery there.

She-Hulk was unsurprised as Franky grabbed onto her, but that was fine, that was exactly what she wanted. Planting her feet, she grunted as she grabbed him, digging in fingers against metal, doing her damnedest to get a hold on him. Clenching her teeth, She-Hulk heaved as hard as she could, trying to throw him to the ground. If she could just get him to stop moving, the others migth have a chance.

Power against power, this it had no problem with. When the prey pressed, it pushed right back, sneering its challenge. It knew it was the stronger of the two, though the semblance of resistance proved a better game than it could have hoped. It would gladly have its prey down, grasped and ready for the blows, with just a push--

The chance was interrupted, though, by a sudden shock to the leg, and it gave a strangled roar from between the metal-lined teeth. The legs--those were a weak point, already given metal bracers just to hold up the great weight, and they gave a scream of miserable surrender at the hit. It buckled down on one knee, advantage lost with all the prey upon it...

...And with all the prey there together. With a snarl, it broke its grip on the big one, reached back to grab the one on its back, and ripped it loose as a living bludgeon, tossing it at the big one. They had risked getting close, and it would ensure they regretted it.
