Iskierka was very determinedly not looking for Granby. Or so she would readily claim anyway. After all, there was any number of reasons for her to be looking around the oddly-reflective structure, even if it was were people had said they'd arrived. Besides, there had been vampires there of late and even if it wasn't quite as enjoyable as a proper fight it was quite enjoyable to see them burning.

But they wouldn't be out now. She'd learned that much already and so she'd settled for simply seeing if there'd been anything interesting left behind after the last few nights.

Kitten was out cautiously inspecting the edges of the park for signs of either new arrivals or renewed vampire activity when she saw a shape in the sky. That form was one the young dragon would recognize anywhere, because it was a larger version of her own.

This must be the other dragon to whom Thomas had introduced her. Of a mind to meet Iskierka in person, she took off in a gallop beneath Iskierka's flight path, her route bringing her closer and closer to Cloud Gate.

Having caught his breath after the fight, Jayne decided that staying in one place without even knowing what the hell was going on just wasn't too good of an idea. He had just pushed himself to his feet and started walking when he saw a shadow and looked up.

Gou neong yung de the hell is that thing?!

His first thought was that the Reavers had caught up to him in one of their creepy ships. But looking closer, he could tell that wasn't the case, but that didn't tell him a rutting thing! Then he heard something close by, and automatically held up his gun, more than ready to shoot first and ask questions later. You couldn't be too safe in situations like this. What he saw was just as unexpected as the thing up in the sky - a blue lizard-thing, with wings. The closest thing he could think to call it was "dragon," but that was just something from those kid's stories his mother used to tell him. He kept his sights on the thing, stubbornly refusing to lower Lux. Dragons were near always bad, he knew. It just wouldn't do to let his guard down ( ... )

If one was bad, the question became what were two? Kitten was hard to miss even from Iskierka's relative height and it was quite clear that there was at least someone down there and that was enough for her. So without even so much as second thought Iskierka came in to land. Surely the man wouldn't have any problems with it if there was already one dragon there. The fact that most people had problems with large scaly lizards suddenly arriving? Quite cleanly forgotten, and if she had remembered it was already too late, as her wings kicked up clouds of dust as she landed neatly not too far from the Bean itself.

Much better, as far as actual conversation was concerned.

Kitten drew up short as she caught sight of the man under the Bean. He was armed, and she slowed her approach to a more cautious pace, chirping a friendly greeting. Iskierka, if she'd noticed the smaller dragon, would cover Kitten, but that wouldn't do Kit much good if the stranger fired first.

She waved one foreleg in a reiteration of her greeting.

Jayne sputtered and stumbled back in shock as the bigger dragon landed. Red. It was red, and everyone knows the evil ones were always colored red and breathed fire and everything! Good thing he had Lux here with him; guns are always better than swords. And he wasn't any sort of knight in shining armor, anyhow.

Still, he knew something about keeping his hide far enough out of danger to stay alive. Jayne wasn't stupid. Thing like that - two of 'em, if he counted the little one over there - was more than a match for him. It'd be better to just turn tail and run right now. Or maybe hiding out under the mirror here would work. Either way, he wasn't firing just yet. Wasn't worth the risk.

At least, not until enough money was involved, and he could take the thing out from a safe distance.

Iskierka had most certainly noticed Kitten, but just at the moment she was more interested in the man hiding under the bean. It didn't look at all safe or comfortable, and besides, surely the - that was a weapon, he had right? - would keep him safe. And anyway, she wasn't some mindless feral, to attack first and ask questions later, if at all. She was quite willing to be civil.

Within certain definitions of the term anyway, but that wasn't something she was at all interested in either recognizing or categorizing. Instead, she bent her head down so as to get a better look at things before speaking up.

"That can hardly be comfortable, being cramped up like that. Surely it would be much nicer elsewhere? There is plenty of space out here."
