Exploring the City

There was only so much to keep Kitten occupied within the hotel. She wanted to learn more about the place she was now stuck. It wasn't home, and she missed her friends, but that didn't mean she should hole up waiting to be brought home the same way she'd come.
So she started down the street that ran between her arrival spot and the place she was staying, looking up at the Bean as she passed by it. She wasn't quite sure what "Michigan" was, other than a street name. It wasn't a word she recognized, the way street names were at home.
As she walked, none of the sparse general populace noticed her presence, something that annoyed the young dragon. She was not invisible! Petulantly, to make herself feel better, she began whistling at stones on the sidewalk, the stones flaring briefly with light, and then kicking the rocks while they were glowing. This cheered her up considerably, and it was actually pretty amusing that the odd person or two she passed by while doing this was still oblivious. It could also be cause for concern, but for now she'd just find the humor in the situation.
