Jason had not known Minako very long but after hearing about the other attacks he had grown worried. He never stayed long, he had a lot of other things to do, however he did make sure to check in everyday and spend a few hours with her.

It was actually about the time he was planning to leave that something happened. It was a blink and you miss it moment but he definitely saw a familiar orange symbol glowing from her forehead. Why was that symbol so familiar to him? Jason returned to the bedside, "Minako?"

She moved. Jason returned to the bedside, actually smiling a little, but it quickly disappeared when Minako started hunting around for a...sword? He hadn't seen a sword around her, but maybe someone had moved it. She seemed not to notice he was there, "Minako. I don't know where the sword is. What are you talking about?"

Minako had been so preoccupied about finding the sword that she hadn't even noticed someone else was in the room with her. She looked over at Jason with wide eyes, her breath caught in her throat. "My sword," she whispered. "I can't summon it..."

She faintly recalled something happening to it before she passed out.... But she didn't know exactly what happened... Or how she passed out and ended up in a hospital (a place all too familiar to her). She relaxed her expression a little and managed a slight smile at him. "I'm sorry, Jason... I... it's just a very important relic from home..."

"Oh." Well, that explained that. But he wasn't sure why she shouldn't be able to summon it. Did it have something to do with the monster's attack.

He shook his head, "No, I understand. I had a sword kind of like that which I lost once." He pulled a chair back over to the bed and sat down, "You should really calm down for a second though. You've been out for awhile and who knows what happened to you out there."

Minako slumped forward, pressing her face in her hands. She nodded at what he said about calming down. He was right....

"How long have I been out for?" she mumbled through her hands, not even wanting to look up to ask the question. She did, however, move her fingers so one eye was able to peer out at him. "Jason, I don't remember anything."

And while she didn't say it out loud, it was clear in her voice that it spooked her more than anything else.

"I wasn't the one that found you so I can't really say. I know it's been at least a week or so," Jason said, noticing the way Minako was hiding behind her hands. This couldn't be easy to hear, he knew what it felt like to wake up without your memories. "How far back DO you remember? At the very least we can figure out what you forgot. Trust me, I know what it's like to be without your memories but there has to be something. I mean, you remember who I am so it must be only a short period of time."

At about that moment the door opened and Jason turned to see Clare. He smiled, maybe it would do good for Minako to have a visitor. Plus, Clare looked much more excited than he could muster up. Not that he wasn't relieved to see Minako but he just didn't have that sort of enthusiasm. "She just woke up."

A week. Minako had been facing those dreams for a week... And now that she'd broken away from the nightmares, she was unable to recall vital information about what had happened. She knew Jason was trying to calm her down, and so she feigned calm as best as she could.

Minako lifted her head slightly when she heard Clare's shriek. She smiled slightly, strained as it may be, and dropped her hands. "My back hurts... But I'm glad to be out of those nightmares..."

She turned her gaze back to Jason. "All I remember is that a blonde woman attacked me... and she did something with my sword... The glass in the window of the shop I was in front of.... exploded towards me..."

"Okay, so you only don't remember the time during the attack and then you were in a coma for a week. I'm not sure what it means Minako but I know she attacked others, I heard about it on the network," he replied, looking over to Clare and wondering how all of these attacks were connected. So far he couldn't see much of a pattern but it was hard to say given that he did not know any of the people who had been attacked personally. He was pretty sure there had been one other person in a coma but even that wasn't positive.

"You say she did something to the sword...so she didn't just take it?"

Minako stared at her hands as Clare took it. She turned to smile at the two of them with a heavy sigh. "I don't remember what the woman looked like... At all. Just that she was blonde..."

She pursed her lips and closed her eyes. "She did something to the sword.... It turned into powder or something? I don't know.... All I know is that if she had simply taken it, I could summon it..."

She opened her eyes again to look at Clare, her breath catching in her throat. "I can't transform... Which means something happened to the sword..." Her eyes swept over to Jason. "My powers... aren't working..."

It was difficult for her to say. To admit out loud. But there it was, even if Jason wouldn't completely understand it...

Jason winced. Yeah, having your weapon destroyed was no fun, Jason could relate to that. But to hear it was the source of her power, whatever that was, sounded bad. "I wonder if that has anything to do with that symbol I saw on your forehead then," he muttered. He knew he'd seen that symbol before, if only he could remember where. Just the fact that he couldn't remember made him believe it had something to do with his Roman heritage.

He felt sorry for Minako though. Not being able to do something was frustrating enough. "I'm sorry Minako, but Clare might have a point. Maybe someone will have an idea of what we might do to help."

Minako was giving up on keeping Venus a secret. It hadn't done her much good so far... She smiled at Clare slowly, then nodded her head as the two suggested she see a magic user. "I think you're right... Someone who has more knowledge of what's going on here in general.... Or can use magic..."

She licked her lips and sighed... Jason may as well know since he got to witness her freak out. "The symbol you saw? It.... was probably the symbol for Venus..."

She sat straighter and lifted her chin a little. "It's.... difficult to explain without sounding really strange..."

"Venus. I knew I'd seen it before," Jason replied, it suddenly striking him. He remembered Piper's symbol being a dove though, when Aphrodite had claimed her as her child...but this was a more astrological symbol if he remembered.

He raised an eyebrow, "Minako, there's very little you could tell me that would sound strange at this point. I'm from a camp filled with children of the Roman gods and goddesses, I'm a son of Jupiter and most of my memories of all of that were taken by Juno as a peace offering. Oh, and I'm currently in a Chicago filled with people from other worlds." He paused, well, he might as well ask what he was thinking.

"You're not related to the goddess of the same name as that symbol by any chance are you?" It could mean he'd found a fellow child of Rome. That seemed a bit of a stretch though because he didn't feel she was familiar and Minako didn't seem to recognize him at all.

Okay, so now that she was sure Jason was at least on the same level as her in strangeness, Minako felt a little less uneasy. "I'm not related to Venus the Goddess to my knowledge. The planet is imbued with some of her power, I believe, but there is no direct line from myself to her..."

She sighed and fiddled with the thin hospital bedsheets. "I am the reincarnated vessel of the last Princess of Venus. She was sworn to protect the Moon Princess, and... long story short, our solar system was nearly wiped away because of a stubborn moon princess and her Shakespearean love affair with the Prince of Earth. The power that the planet is imbued with are the powers that transfer to a selected warrior of that planet... I was such a warrior.... The leader of her protectors..."

Minako bit down on her lip. "Venus, I mean. I am not Venus... not completely. I lived all my life without remembering any of this until years ago when history was doomed to repeat itself. It's then that Venus and I merged... and when the threat was over... I no longer ( ... )
