Riku had heard about the ponies from an overly excitable Sora and eventually had it confirmed by the others. He knew there was a baby dragon staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, but this was the first time he had heard of anything else that didn't look human appearing in the city. And unlike everyone else, he guessed that the ponies wouldn't be too thrilled with staying in a hotel.

However, he wasn't going to tell anyone the reason why he was out there in the rain that evening, an umbrella held over his head and - thankfully - not turned inside out yet. He walked briskly over to Millennium Park from where the Valentine's Day party was being held, frowning up at the stormy sky. The strange weather shifts had to mean something.

He had just caught sight of the Bean when he noticed something small and purple underneath it, shying away towards the middle to keep from getting caught in the downpour. He narrowed his eyes - four legs. Another one.

Well, it didn't seem like she was going to be whisked back to Ponyville and the rain didn't seem like it was going to be letting up any time soon either, so the question was: what now? She couldn't stay here, that much was certain, but where could she go? There were plenty of buildings, but none of them looked particularly inviting.

There also wasn't any other ponies to be seen anywhere. Then again, why would anyone be out in this? Wait--was that an umbrella? Twilight squinted her eyes through the rain at the figure. It seemed very tall and... was it walking on two legs? What could it be? And was it looking at her?

Twilight found herself glancing around for a place to hide.

Riku saw the pony give him a startled look before looking around, perhaps for a place to hide. He frowned - Sora had mentioned that the one he had met was shy. Maybe they all were?

Unfortunately, there wasn't really a place to hide without running out into the downpour. Riku sighed when he realized he had absolutely no idea what to say to the pony, but had the feeling that he'd still feel pretty ridiculous talking to one even if Sora had said they knew how to talk.

"You must've just got here."

Well, that was a start.

Talking to her. It... was talking to her. Okay. Well. Right! She wanted to find out where she was and where to go, so obviously talking to the tall talking thing would be a good a place as any to start, right?

"Um, yes! That's right!" she replied, just going along with it, adding a muttered, "Somehow."

Wait, how had he known that?

Terra couldn't believe that Alice had convinced him they needed more decorations. Why was it necessary to go out in weather like this for a few more things of streamers? Didn't they have enough? Terra had no way of arguing with Alice however so, there he was flying down the street on his glider, his only protection from the rain being the rain coat Alice had conveniently had. She'd planned this, he just knew it...he just wasn't sure how ( ... )

"A lot of people arrive here this way," Riku replied. He belatedly realized that he had called the pony a person. He grimaced. He really was no good at this. Nodding back towards the city, he added, "The city's called Chicago."

Giving a rundown of the dangers of the city probably wasn't a bright idea, but Riku wasn't especially known for his tact. Fortunately, he was saved from completely making a fool out of himself by the sound of a glider over the rumble of the growing thunderstorm. Terra.

A flash of emotions swept through him at the man's appearance. Hared. Sympathy. Frustration. Sadness. But he kept his features schooled when Terra approached, only nodding at the mention of another pony and realizing he didn't even know the pony's name.

"Chicago?" Twilight echoed, getting a taste for the rather strange name. "That's a weird name for a city."

At least, to her it rather was. Then again, if appearing here like this was normal, this place had to be pretty weird.

She opened her mouth to say something, but paused when yet another 'thing' (Twilight was still failing to figure out what they even began to resemble) appeared. How many of these things were there here?

Of course, all those questions were completely forgotten the moment Terra opened his mouth and said two VERY familiar names.

"Rarity and Fluttershy?! They're here too?!" she exclaimed, making it was obvious that, yes, she did indeed know them.

Terra probably didn't notice the reaction he stirred in Riku, after all he was a tad more focused on the third pony he had seen in the span of a few days. Not that it was really different from lots of people suddenly appearing in Chicago but the fact that these were ponies stuck out. It looked like she was a unicorn like Rarity, though different colored and with a different marking on her flank.

"They are. I met both of them the other day. They're safe," he said, hoping that would help ease her fears. Of course, she might not believe him so he added, "I can take you to them." At that moment the thunder rumbled overhead from the storm and Terra looked over his shoulder, "Well, that is if it's okay to go out in this storm."

Three ponies now? The sudden influx of them was weird.

Riku crossed his arms, stepping a few feet away from the conversation to look up at the dark and foreboding sky. The storm front had now covered most of the Loop as night fell, the heavy blackish-gray clouds occasionally lit by lightning and the rain starting to come down harder. The added moisture in the already warm air had caused humidity to soar and although he knew the temperature would probably plummet the next day, it didn't stop him from thinking it felt like he was moving around in a tropical climate.

"What's your name?" he asked offhandedly.

Twilight was relieved to hear they were both safe, although she could certainly imagine what they were both going through. Rarity was surely complaining about, well, everything, and poor Fluttershy had to be frightened. Finding her friends was far more important than worrying about getting wet right now.

"Well, it's not like I can stay here," Twilight replied Terra, with a somewhat sarcastic tone. She couldn't stand under this mirrored rock all night, so no matter where she went, she'd have to face the storm. Finding her friends was her top priority, storm or not. "That is to say, if you would lead me to them, I'd be very grateful."

The unicorn's violet gaze switched then to Riku. Oh, she hadn't introduced herself, had she? Her manners were usually better, but usually she wasn't in a situation like this. "Oh, I'm Twilight Sparkle."

Despite the sarcasm Terra offered her a small smile. He wouldn't have been able to just stand around and wait either. "I'm Terra. It's nice to meet you, even if these are not the best circumstances," Terra said, pulling his rain coat's hood back up. "Thankfully, the walk back won't be too far, after all they should be at the Blackstone Hotel."

He looked over at Riku wondering if he was going to return with them or not.

Twilight Sparkle. Riku sighed inwardly, resisting the urge to rub the bridge of his nose. Of course that was her name.

"I'll come back with you."

Before Sora and Kairi went on a manhunt for him.

"Well, that's good," she said in response to the walk not being too far. Not too far meant she hopefully wouldn't get too wet, not that she was too worried about that right now.

Stepping out from under the shelter, she stood by Terra, ready to let him lead the way.
