While Aqua had missed the attack itself, there was no way she could have missed the lingering damage from it. Terra's injuries were enough to speak to that, and it was all but impossible to miss the damage to a building when you lived next door and had a habit of going outside on a regular basis. So really it wasn't much of a surprise that she noticed someone working on clear the worst of the damage.

Nor was it particularly surprising to find her heading on over to offer her help. She wasn't doing anything else particularly important that day.

"Excuse me," she spoke up, "but would you like some help with that?"

The number of people who had offered to help was starting to make Ebenezar reconsider his stance on young folks and their desire to help. Which explained why he wasn't surprised by the young woman's question, and why he sounded almost cheerful when he responded. "Appreciate it, miss. Ain't much more to do, but it'll go faster with two."

"Of course," Aqua answered with a nod and a smile. There were, after all, relatively few things that extra hands couldn't help with and even if there wasn't much left to do she could certainly speed things along quite wonderfully.

Or at least some, anyway, as she simply headed for the nearest thing that looked like it needed to be hauled away. Waiting wasn't going to do her any good here.

Ebenezar grunted with effort as he began lifting a length of twisted metal about the size of his leg, but his joints screamed in protest and he stopped. It was an annoying size. Just too big to comfortably lift, but too small to really justify using magic to move it. "If you got strong legs, missie, maybe you can help me get this piece into the truck," he said, gesturing to the scrap metal. "Want to get it all done before some fools who're too injured to actually do anything get it into their heads to help."

She was hardly the strongest of her immediate friends (that would have been Terra), but she was certainly no slouch, although she would have been more than a little unlikely to actually admit to the fact. But denying her ability to help was something that barely even crossed her mind.

"I'd be glad to."

Okay, she probably wasn't going to be able to manage it on her own, but she could help share the weight. Or more, if she felt like trying some magic of her own on it. But for now she'd simply help, as she lifted the piece of metal up to the best of her abilities.

With two, the debris was much easier to move, and Ebenezar guided them towards the truck. "Much obliged, miss. And I suppose I should have remembered to introduce myself 'fore I pressed you into service. It's Ebenezar McCoy."

"It's alright," Aqua answered, shaking her head. "I should have introduced myself earlier as well. I'm Aqua. It's a pleasure to meet you."

She really did mean it too. A little politeness went a long way, no matter what world you were on.

"Nice to meet you too, Miss Aqua." Ebenezar braced himself as they neared the truck, readying to haul the piece of debris over the side. "Hope you're settling in alright, or as alright as this place can make it."

Aqua's answer didn't come until after the debris was safely in the bed of the truck. Why answer when there were better things to use her breath for? Besides, it wasn't like it was something that couldn't wait.

"I've been to stranger places," she answered with a slight shrug. "But I suppose I am, yes."

Her answer earned Aqua a second look as Ebenezar studied the young woman. "You're a traveller?" he asked. There was nothing in his voice to indicate anything other than exactly what he meant. Just a mild surprise that this place wasn't the strangest thing the young woman had seen, unlike some of the others. "But that's good to hear. Too many folks show up alone and find themselves lost."

"I am," Aqua answered with a nod. She could admit to that much easily enough. It wasn't like she was actually admitting to having been to other worlds, and she was still less than certain as to just how keeping the world order worked when the world itself was a crazy hodge-podge of people from all sorts of worlds.

She'd have to ask Master Eraqus when she next got the chance to do so.
