There were a lot of things the monsters side of the family gave Thomas. Good looks. Wealth. Insatiable Hunger. Only one of them, at the moment, was actually useful. The ability to remain upright and walk relatively straight with several bottles of liquor in his system.
It was a blessedly clear night, and Thomas made it out of the bar under his own power, only needing to catch himself once against the brick wall of the building once he'd cleared the door. The part of his brain not swimming in booze hoped it was enough to give him a night of dreamless sleep, that there was probably not another drop of alcohol to be found anywhere nearby. The rest of him, on the other hand, concentrated only on putting one foot in front of the other, heading by a combination of subconscious desire and auto pilot, towards an apartment in the Gold Coast..
