"Chicago," Terra repeated, committing the name to memory. It was more information than he'd had five seconds ago. He had the feeling if he kept talking he would learn more as well. Hopefully. He raised an eyebrow when Sora said people were stuck here, "Are the people here not originally from this world? How did they travel here?" The only ways he knew were the Lanes Between...but to use those would mean having a keyblade right? The boy said they couldn't find a way out...so them being keyblade wielders couldn't be the case. If they had keyblades they could access the Lanes Between. Which, of course, brought him back to the question of how people arrived here. He couldn't ask these questions though and would just have to experiment for himself later by opening a portal.

He also couldn't shake the deja-vu. Even after hearing the boy's name he wasn't sure he could. The name rang familiar in his head, like a bell, but he'd never met anyone named Sora, had he? "Terra," the young man said. He found himself with the strange urge to return the smile and so he did.

"Well, some are from this city, but even they think this place is... wrong somehow." He replied after considering Terra's question, "but most seem to be from other worlds." At least the ones Sora talked to had.

"They 'traveled' here the same way you did," he continued, pointing to the Bean of Summoning, "Everyone just appears under that bean, not knowing how they got there. Well... I had gone through a Door to Light, but I don't think I was supposed to have ended up here." And if there was an easy way out, such as Portals of Darkness, wouldn't Axel have gotten the heck outta dodge a while ago? Or anyone with teleporting abilities?

"Terra," He repeated the name, he didn't remember ever meeting a Terra, but the name felt so familiar, and he felt something in his heart telling him that he had to know this guy from somewhere. "It's nice to meet you, Terra!"

When Sora pointed to the bean Terra turned to look at it. It didn't look all that magical or anything, but he supposed looks could be deceiving. Terra took a step closer to it but stopped when Sora mentioned the Door to Light. The term itself wasn't familiar but having just come from hearing Master Xehanort go on about the balance of Darkness and Light, it was hard not to react to such a phrase.

Perhaps it was Sora using the word or maybe turning back to him had given Terra a different angle...but he was noticing a certain light about Sora as well. It was reminiscent of Ven's light. Terra closed his eyes for a moment as if trying to clear his mind and help this inkling feeling he had grow. There was something about this boy that was so familiar. He opened his eyes again, "It's nice to meet you too...Sora, this may sound strange but I get the feeling I know you from somewhere."

Sora was just about to ask Terra if they had met before when he surprized Sora by being the one who mentioned it first. So if the feeling was mutual, then they had to know each other, they just had too!

"That's not strange at all! I feel like I've met you, too!" Sora replied.

That surprised Terra and it showed clearly on his face. He brought his hand to his chin, a common thinking pose, and tried to think of where he had possible met Sora before. He looked up again, "Maybe it would help if you told me where you were from."

"Well, I'm from Destiny Islands, but I've traveled to a lotta different worlds," he replied, "Maybe you met me on one of them? You from Radiant Garden, or Twilight Town? Maybe I met you in Traverse Town?" His clothes didn't look like they were from the first two, but you could never know with Traverse Town.

Terra's eyes widened at the mention of Radiant Garden. He wasn't from there of course but the fact that the boy had traveled to other worlds as well. He didn't know those other places, though he had been to a small island he didn't know the name of. "I'm not from any of those places...but I have been to Radiant Garden. I don't remember seeing you there though." The only people he'd met at the Garden had been Merlin and that dark haired fellow who had kidnapped Xehanort.

"I'm from a place called the Land of Departure. I was training there with my friends, Aqua and Ven." At least, up until recently. Thinking about his home made him sad for a moment as he remembered what had happened to both it and his Master. He paused, looking at Sora again, "You've been to other worlds though...do you have a keyblade?" Terra wasn't aware of anyone else who could travel the worlds so it only made sense to him. But wouldn't he have been told of another keyblade apprentice? Sora was Ven's age, it would have made sense for Master Eraqus to mention him. There weren't that many people left who could use the keyblade after all.

"I don't think I met you there either," If he was from Radiant Garden, Sora would certianly remember him better than this. And he never been to a world called Land of Departure. It looked like this question wouldn't be answered soon.

"Yeah, I can," Sora replied, holding his hand out to summon the Kingdom Key, and visibly frowning when the Keyblade didn't respond as fast as he was used to. But about three or so seconds after he tried to call it, it appeared in his hand with a light shink.

"But how do you know about the Keyblade?"

Somehow, even after asking that question, he wasn't prepared for Sora to actually summon the Keyblade. What was this boy doing with one and who was his Master? Why had he never heard of him before? These and other questions raced through Terra's mind and the look on his face was one very much of confusion.

There was only one way to really answer that particular question. Terra held his hand out and willed his own Keyblade into being. He looked a little troubled when the weapon did not appear but before he could grow extremely concerned there was the gathering light and spark and his own Keyblade was in hand. He held it aloft for a moment before sitting the blade against the ground and resting his hand on the hilt, "Does that answer your question?" He couldn't help but smirk a bit, in a lot of ways Sora reminded him of Ven.

Sora gaped as Terra summoned a Keyblade of his own, unable to hide his surprise. How could there be more Keyblade wielders? That wasn't possible, was it?

"But how do you have one? I thought only me, Riku and King Mickey had Keyblades," Sora said as he looked over Terra's Keyblade. This was a very unexpected turn of events.

Sora looked just as shocked as Terra felt. So, Sora hadn't known of other Keyblade wielders? Well, he supposed there really weren't that many left as his Master had said.

"I was chosen to have one," Terra said simply. Why did anyone have a keyblade? Terra's brow furrowed slightly, "Riku. I know that name. He has a keyblade?" He was a little young to be summoning it on his own just yet. Terra had only JUST chosen him as his successor. He hadn't even told that boy how to summon it.

Suddenly Terra's eyes widened in shock. It must have been because Sora used the name Riku and had mentioned the world he was from being Destiny Islands. Terra had met the young Riku on a small island and he could remember there being a small boy there, along with Riku. Riku's friend...the person important to him. Sora was the spitting image of that boy. But that was impossible, he'd only just left the islands. Perhaps this was a brother to the boy he had seen. Even thinking that though made Terra doubt himself. Somehow, he knew this was the same boy he had seen with Riku that day. But that was impossible, Just like him owning a keyblade is impossible? Why else would he be familiar to me?

"I was chosen, too," Sora replied back, though, of course what he meant by "chosen" and what Terra did were two totally different things, "And yeah Riku has a-- You know Riku?!" Sora asked incredulously, "How?"

Sora then saw the sudden shock on Terra's face, "W-what? What is it?"

"I met him on the beach of that play-island. I made him my successor so that he could use the keyblade and protect the things that matter," Terra said, staring down at his own keyblade in confusion. Just what was going on here?

He looked back up at Sora, "You're...you look like the boy he was playing with but...that can't be!"

"Successor? What do you mean? I thought the Keyblade chose it wielder." Nobody had ever made Sora their successor, he just got the Keyblade the day of the storm. People even said that his Keyblade had been meant for Riku. What was going on?

"Did the island have a paopu fruit tree? With fruit shaped like stars?" This must have been where they knew each other from, though Sora still didn't actually remember him, but this was better than nothing.

"How old were these boys?"

"The Keyblade does. But another wielder can chose another to inherit the power to wield the Keyblade. The Keyblade still has to accept that person though in order for them to summon it. Did your Master not teach you that?" Terra had a sinking suspicion that Sora didn't HAVE a Master, but he still had to be sure.

Well, at least Sora had confirmed one thing. He was right in thinking that Destiny Island was indeed the name of the place Riku was from. Terra produced his Wayfinder, holding it out to Sora, "Yeah. Like this?"

This was all so strange, even for Terra. "Not very old...they had to be around five or so."

"Master? But I don't have a Master, I didn't even know we were supposed have one!" This was a shock to Sora, did it mean that he wasn't using the Keyblade right?

"Hey, that kinda looks like mine," Sora said when Terra showed Sora his good luch charm, then he dug around his pockets and produced his own, made from actual seashells.

"Well, I'm fifteen," Sora said, did that mean Terra was from ten years in the past? It would explain why Sora could barely remember him, who remembers everything from when they were really, really little?
