Characters: Vidia and YOU! Location: The gate, for starters Time: Early evening Content: Vidia makes good friends with the gate upon arrival. Confusion ensues. Format: Prose Warnings: Snark from a 6-inch tall fairy.
Things had proven, at this point, that making frequent stops by the Bean was at worst a small detour and at best an opportunity to help someone find comfort in a frightening new situation. Spin, looping by the landmark, at first suspected that today was another one of the former, before he caught sight of the tiny figure hovering by the ground.
He'd heard about fairies from the others, and hadn't entirely forgotten his own encounter with one of a much larger size. Though, the fact that this one happened to be at the Starting Point, of all places, gave hi a moment's pause. Well-polished shoes halted on the pavement a moment, before leading him over.
Crap. Not supposed to be seen by humans (or anything else for that matter). Vidia quickly flew around to the backside of the gate, huddling in a small hole in a nearby wall. It was a bit cramped, but she could manage. She turned her attention back to the device, poking and prodding at it.
Well, it wasn't the most forthcoming response, but Spin for some reason wasn't convinced that he should leave well enough alone, here. A small animal appeared, darting its way over to where the tiny person had been, and the agent followed after. "Friend of yours?"
Fairies didn't have quite the same melody as normal people, but it wasn't hard enough to figure out where she'd vanished off to. Deciding it was best to keep polite, Spin hovered a few steps away, at an angle where he couldn't quite see into the hidey-hole. "Sorry, didn't mean t'startle you... You a native 'round here?"

"H'lo there."
