Keladry arrives in Chicago!

Kel didn't understand what had happened. She had just finished straightening her arm guards for archery practice when the world...shuddered. It reminded her of some of Numair's larger workings of the Gift in the way reality seemed to bend.
But he was south in Corus with Daine.
Kel knew of no one else with that much power, and went to spring into action, only to find that her body had already done so while her mind was busy. Leather jerkin, on. Sword and dagger, secure. Belt pouch, full. She was already stuffing arrows into her quiver, going for speed and volume rather than variety, as the world seemed to darken.
Right before it all went black, Keladry of Mindelan had her glaive in her right hand, bow and quiver in her left, and was ready to take on the world.

She didn't expect to see a giant metal....was that a bean?
