Yue sat with a few slices of pizza in front of her, with a small backpack next to her chair. She was casually sipping a small juicebox, her feet kicking a little as they failed to reach the ground. If it wasn't for the cloak she had draped on the back of her chair (and the yards of purple hair she had), she might seem like a normal pre-teen girl. So she was a wizard, and nearly 16, and normal was not a word that could be applied to her in any stretch of the imagination. Right now she had problems, a number of them, the largest was obvious.

She was in Chicago.

Which isn't a common problem except for the current residents of this trapped Chicago in a fog-bottle. She wasn't even bothering to worry about that at the moment. Similarly her memory gap was not an issue at the moment, so she put that on the side too. That would have to wait. Her third issue, staying on her own, was also off to the side as there wasn't much she wanted to do about it just yet. She thought she spotted Nagi, possibly an aged up Negi, at the Halloween party. She never caught up with him to verify which he was. In any event she was afraid of making new friends just to lose them, she seemed good at getting stranded from those that cared about her, she didn't like being good at it.

Her more pressing concerns, the ones she was actually worried about, was her magic being less powerful. She hadn't had much luck with an explanation and her Orbis was not giving her useful info and if it suggested one more sleazy strip club she would find whatever library it was attached to and burn it down. Which as a lover of books would fill her with the greatest of heartache. In the meantime she would simply need to find a way to use less magic. Walking instead of flying, making new foci that she didn't need to summon. This would mean a broom or staff for when she needed to fly, and a smaller blade.

As a Cadet of the Ariadne Valkyrie Corps, she had never needed to make her own foci, and she was told by her friends she only had a  beginner's wand back at home, on Earth. She did know what was needed for a foci or two, in the styles she desired but it would take some work and information to find them. This entire adventure was going to be a lot of work with not a lot of help. Her last problem was minor, and while there was little she could do about it, it did bother her.

These were some of the dullest juice boxes she had ever found. What was the problem with Americans and their drinks?
