It was one thing to land in another world. It happened all the time, although that was usually on purpose. Arriving to a world already half in the grip of panic is entirely different. Not the least of which is the fact that it's hard to get anyone to answer her questions.

She can't comfort a city, much though she'd like to try.

What she could do, on the other hand, is set about finding people. Sh still had her Wayfinder, after all, even if she wasn't really sure that she should try her Glider just yet. So she'd done the next best thing. She'd walked, following the pull of familiarity from her Wayfinder. Fortunately enough, it seemed that she hadn't landed all that far from where Terra was. She wasn't even too terribly surprised to find people running out of the station.

And there was only one logical answer that, as she put away her Wayfinder and went running into the building, Keyblade appearing in her hand just as she came bursting in through the door. She wasn't about let Terra fight alone, even if she didn't know what on earth had possessed a drowned girl to bother to attack in the first place. But that was a question for later. Right now, she was attacking and that was enough, as Aqua cast Thunder on the girl before hurrying to Terra's side.

The first thing Jason heard was people screaming.

Well, shit.

The whole city was panicking, the weather'd gone to hell and back again, and he knew the gun he had on him was going to be useless in crowds like this. If he had to defend himself, he had a good chance of hitting a person - a real person, since this was a real city and not a fake one - instead of his intended target. Great. A quick stop into an abandoned mechanic's shop (because who was gonna stick around when things were this messed up?) got him a crowbar, and that was good enough. He went against the crowds, because usually whatever people were running from was causing trouble and whatever was causing trouble had answers and answers were what he wanted. Simple, right?

It stopped being simple when he ran into the place people were running out of - Union Station - only to run into a fuckton of horror movie monsters. He stopped short, brain kinda fritzed by that one -

And then a fuckin' clown took a swipe at him with a big fuckin' knife.

Oh hell no.

"Stupid-" He swung the crowbar like a baseball bat, delivering a hard blow to the side of the clown's head. The clown went down, howling in pain - the cold iron of the crowbar was super effective against the fear phage, a creature of the fey.

Of course, Jason had no idea that was the case. He just knew there were clowns trying to kill people with machetes and that wasn't okay. "Fuckin'- Clowns!" A hard swing and a felled phage punctuated each word. The clowns weren't dead, but they weren't about to get back up either.

At the sight of an indoor lightening strike - shit, and here he thought he'd found the real Chicago, not another fucked-up magical place - he looked up and saw Terra and a hot chick, both with weapons and fighting off the monsters. They were fighting and he was fighting, so he might as well join them, right? He shrugged and started making his way towards them, knocking minor phages down like bowling pins as he went.

The girl was suddenly hit by a powerful volt of electricity. Terra jerked in surprise as the girl flailed around from the shock of it. His eyes found Aqua almost immediately and he nodded in her direction. It was good to see her again and in one piece. After her disappearance he had worried, of course, but now that she was here he didn't have to any longer. Of course, he also had to stop that train of though quickly before it led him to ponder the other events that had taken place earlier that day.

Terra focused back on the battle, swiping down on the girl with all the power of his keyblade and the phage immediately dissolved. He was about to attempt to join Aqua but her position was immediately cut off by a guy in a hockey mask. There was barely time to register this before the sound of whirring blades cut through the air and the guy with the mask brought down a HUGE chainsaw. Terra yelped in surprise and brought the keyblade up to bear, a testament to its power that it wasn't cleaved in half by the whirling blades of the saw.

There would be time enough for questions later. For now, there were more important things at hand. Namely, monsters ranged in front of them. Or in between the two of them, in this particular case, but it amounted to the same thing in the end. Another hurdle to cross in this version on Chicago.

Better yet, with the monster focusing all of its attention on Terra, it's left itself open to attacks from behind and she moves in to make her attack almost as soon as Terra's blade meets the chainsaw. As attacks go, it's one of the more simple variety, not much more than leaping into the air and bringing her keyblade down on the monster's head. Not much, but then again, just about anyone would stumble a bit after being hit over the head a couple of times, so it should hardly come as a surprise that the phage did as well.

He'd finally managed to get close to Terra and the girl, only to have another monster come staggering towards him after getting beaten to hell and back with the girl's giant key. Well. Great. He took a stance, then swung the crowbar as hard as he could at the phage's head. "Think there's too many Jasons in here!" The phage howled, recoiling from the cold iron of the crowbar and stumbling backwards again. One more hit ought to do it in.

He couldn't help but throw a cocky grin at Terra. "Startin' the party without me, huh?"

Between Aqua and Jason, the phage didn't stand a chance. Terra was grateful to have the pressure of the chain saw taken away from him and watched as Aqua and Jason took it down. It was pretty weakened by this point and Jason's strike left Terra room to finish it off. Terra pulled the keyblade back in a stance similar to those seen in old samurai movies and then flashed forward, cleaving through it. Probably an over-kill move but better safe than sorry.

The phage faded away but the screams around him told Terra that there was more where that came from. He looked over at Jason, "I think the party just started period. There's still plenty to go around."

And just like that, suddenly a pack of Velociraptors came stalking into the train station like they were right off the set of Jurassic Park. The biggest of them let out a sort of barking sound as if calling to others and then the pack spread out...ready to herd in the prey aka humans.

"Like I said," Terra replied as soon as he saw what they were doing, "Plenty to go around." He looked back over to Aqua, "We need to get these people out of here!"

Aqua nodded at Terra's words as she looked at the space around them. There just wasn't any end to the phages, was there? As soon as one went down another - or another set - cropped up. They'd never get anywhere profitable like this, and none of the people still milling around looked particularly inclined to leave on their own, not that she blamed them for that much.

"Do you think you two can handle these ones for now?" she asked. It would be easier to get the few remaining people out of the station if she weren't trying to fend off the latest round of phages at the same time, although she supposed she could make do if she had to. It wouldn't have been the first time she'd had to escort someone past dangerous monsters, even if these ones were more so than the Unversed had usually been.

"Well okay then." Jason spared Terra a grin, then flashed it towards the girl. She was a looker. Even in the middle of all this craziness, he still had time to notice that - hell, it was pretty tough to miss. "By the way," he muttered to Terra, "she" and he nodded towards Aqua, "is definitely chocolate ice cream."

Of course, he was distracted pretty quickly by the entrance of...a pack of raptors. Fucking raptors. For a second or two, he just stared. Sure, he'd wanted to see dinosaurs when he was a kid, but not like this. "Jesus fuckin' Christ," he breathed. This was not gonna be good.

He had no idea why the hell the girl who could call lightening indoors would volunteer to not fight, but it didn't look like they had a whole lot of time to debate. "Yeah, sure," he replied, "lemme just go fight off these dinosaurs with a fuckin' crowbar."

...although, when he said it like that, it sounded pretty badass. It probably would have been cooler if he wasn't already pretty sure this was gonna get him killed. That sure as hell didn't mean he wouldn't do it, though - not with people's lives at stake.

"By the way, Terra?" He eyed a dinosaur coming towards him. Bring it on, lizard. "Your girlfriend's nuts."

That was when the raptor leaped at him and he sidestepped, swinging hard at its jaw with the crowbar.

Generally Terra was a pretty focused individual on the battle field. There were very few things that could truly distract him. Jason bringing up the "ice cream" conversation was one of them. He couldn't really RETORT however since the raptors were making their way over toe them. "We're not talking about this NOW."

He looked back to Aqua, "Do what you need to do. We'll have your back." Terra didn't like the look of these dinosaurs with teeth but they were just phages so they would fall to the keyblade as easily as the others had. Of course, he could make it a little easier. Jason seemed determined to distract him, however, and he just shook his head, "She knows what she's doing. Besides, this whole situation is crazy." He didn't deny that she was his girlfriend though.

Terra had just enough time to activate one of his D-Links (going with Master Eraqus's D-Link this time), a brief flash of light enveloping his form before he rushed forward with Fire Surge. He plowed through the raptor he had targeted and it let out a screech as it was covered in fire AND hit by a heavy, keyblade wielding, adult male.

Why exactly she'd just been referred to as chocolate ice cream, Aqua had no idea, much less any real idea what to do about it. Yes, it was interesting to know that Terra had apparently talked to him before, but she wasn't at all sure how she was supposed to actually react. Had it been a compliment? Or was it something she wasn't even supposed to react to?

Fortunately, the fact that there were other matters at hand gave her something else to dwell on, as she nodded at Terra's comment. She'd dwell on unusual comments later. Right now there were people to rescue. Still she couldn't keep her gaze from lingering on Jason for a rather confused moment, before she turned towards the nearest of the scattered clusters of terrified people - and much like Terra, she didn't make any attempt to deny the comment about her being Terra's girlfriend.

And thus with one last backward glance to make sure that everything was being handled alright, Aqua hurried off across the station.

Jason couldn't see why chocolate ice cream wouldn't be a compliment - hell, everyone loved chocolate - but this wasn't the time or place for anyone to get bent outta shape about it, especially not with fuckin' dinosaurs trying to eat them.

His crowbar connected with the jaw of the raptor that had leaped at him, and it hissed in pain and scrabbled to the side, trying to get out of the way of the cold iron. Jason sure as hell was not letting that happen. He had a dino down and he was going to finish the job. "Oh no you don't!" He followed the phage, delivering several more hard blows across its head and then, in a fit of inspiration, turned the crowbar around and used the straight end to stab at the phage's neck.

He hadn't expected the end to go in so easy, and he really hadn't expected the raptor to just melt all over the place as a result. "What the..." He just stopped and blinked for a second or two. "Like stakin' a vampire," he processed, "includin' the gooey parts."

That one finished, he turned around to find another raptor a few yards away and closing fast. He dropped into a batter's stance, waiting until it was nearly on him to swing again, striking hard against the raptor's head. "One down..." And the whole fuckin' pack still to go. Thank God for crowbars.
