Sam slipped out of the passenger seat of Dee's car and onto wobbly legs. One of his hips popped in quiet annoyance for sitting for so long. Well, they were home now so it could stop complaining. Sam stretched a little and closed the car door behind him

"Thank you," he breathed, leaning over to press his forehead against her's. He letnhis eyes slip shut. "I'm so sorry."
After everything, all the holding back and pushing away... after all that he finally lets her close and now he's gonna die. He finally lets himself have something good and now he's gonna lose it and hurt her so much more than he could have ever done if he was never with her.

He ran his thumb over her knuckles in a soothing manner, trying to comfort her as best as he could right now. He could see the tears and he knew how much this was and still could hurt her. He just didn't know who else to ask for help. Dean certainly wouldn't let him go, he already knew that but... Dee would. Dee would love him enough to let him go. At least he hoped she would.

Dee let's out another deep breath before she continues. "I want to be there for you in any way that I can...to make this easy on you. And leaving before you go is not an option." She only hoped that he could promise to let her be there in any way until he left this earth.
"Can you do that?"

"I... I can promise some of that. But not all," he said, looking down at their hands. "I... I don't want you there when I finish the third trial. The king of Hell is gonna be there and I don't want him knowing you exist if this thing goes south."
He knew she might yell at him because of it but he had to make sure she was safe, even till the end. "So you can stay, I want you to stay but... but you can't go with me. Dean and I are gonna do this. I'd like it if it was just me but I know he'll be there babysitting me..."

Her forehead rests against his before leaning in to kiss him gently. Never did she think that she would fall for the guy she met in a bar a couple years ago. Something that should have been a one night stand but always showed up in her path. "Another thing you might not see is that I believe we were supposed to meet and that this happen. How you would just show up in the same town...at the same time right when I needed you."
Dee shrugs and gives a soft chuckle. "Maybe I'm over thinking it. But I feel like we were meant to be apart of each others lives

As far as them meeting and getting together... "I've been fighting my destiny... or destiny in general but... I know we were meant to be together in some sort of way. There's only so many coincidences I can get smacked in the head with before I understand," he finished with a slight smile.
"I'm just sorry that I kept this from you, from us. I'm sorry that I waited till the end for us to be able to be happy."

She was grateful that he agreed with her and she didn't have to feel stupid that she was the only one that realized there was more to them than the every so often fling. "Sam...you don't have to keep apologizing. You don't see me running anywhere and you don't see me hating or resenting you for it. No good is going to come from that. I want to be able to just...enjoy the time I have left with you."
Dee shifts a little and gives his hands a little squeeze. "With that said...you need sleep. And then after you've rested I can make us lunch and we can go on with the tour of this place. Or...if you want to just lay here and catch up on sleep? I can lay here right beside you. You're choice

But he just nodded, pulling her hand up to his dry lips to kiss them gently. "Okay. You uh... you can check out the rest of the bunker if you want. I'll probably be out for a while." Last time he went to take a nap he was out for a good 10 hours. Still felt like he hadn't had any sleep though.
