Takes place... I guess Thursday morning. Tezuka and Momo have breakfast and talk about old friends. Obviously, all of this conversation would be null if someone were to pick up these characters, but... our Golden Pair ran away with us. :D;
---
Tezuka: *sips his tea*
Momo: *grabs a cookie to make himself feel better*
Tezuka: *turns the page*
Momo: Hmm. Anythin' interesting in the paper?
Tezuka: *takes another sip of his tea* That all depends upon what interests you.
Momo: Anythin', really. *munches on his cookie*
Tezuka: *adjusts his glasses, finds an article about Tokyo University's science department and reads aloud*
Momo: *tries not to make a face*
Tezuka: *pauses about half-way down* Am I boring you?
Momo: ...Not really. >>; <<;
Tezuka: ...*resumes reading*
Momo: *wants to know why people would actually want to read this stuff - teaching health class is /almost/ better*
Tezuka: *finishes the article, hides a small smile by taking another sip of his tea*
Momo: ...Well that was interestin'. *grabs another cookie*
Tezuka: *glances up at Momo over the edge of the paper* It's rather dull. Science has never truly interested me.
Momo: I'm 'fraid I was only ever really interested in human biology.
Tezuka: Hm. *folds the paper, sets it aside* As it relates to health and sports, correct?
Momo: Of course~ <3
Tezuka: *takes another sip of his tea* ...Are you really going to have cookies for breakfast?
Momo: Nah, I'll make somethin' else in a few. I'm thinking... hmm. Somethin' like eggs and bacon, mmm.
Tezuka: Would you like me to cook?
Momo: ...Would you? *_*
Tezuka: You said bacon and eggs? *stands, pushing in his chair* How do you take your eggs?
Momo: Anythin' works for me - I usually make 'em sunny side up.
Tezuka: Very well. *proceeds to go to the kitchen and make breakfast*
Momo: *follows, and is thinking Tezuka is a godsend to earth*
Tezuka: *makes the eggs sunny side up - actually, that's what he's most confident he can cook, anyway - and the bacon extra-crispy like he likes it*
Momo: *has almost star like eyes* Tezuka-buchou, you're the best. I rarely have breakfast cooked for me anymore. *_*
Tezuka: *glances over his shoulder* No girlfrined to speak of in recent months?
Momo: Nope. The last was... last year?
Tezuka: *turns the bacon* That long? I thought you would be the type to always have a companion. Much like Oishi.
Momo: Work started to take up all my time - it's been hard to maintain any sort of relationship. Though, I'm really, really happy to hear that Oishi-senpai has finally settled down and is doin' what he wants to do~
Tezuka: *smiles a bit* You know how he is - he found someone just as foolhardy and hard-working as himself.
Momo: *laughs* I'd like to meet the lucky women - actually, I'd like to see Oishi-senpai again sometime soon, too; I also haven't seen Eiji-senpai in a while, either... don't even know what he's up to anymore.
Tezuka: *puts the eggs and bacon on a plate for Momo and takes it to the kitchen table, setting it in front of him* I'm quite certain they would like to see you as well. I believe Kikumaru has it in his head to do some sort of reunion.
Momo: Thank you. *big grin and grabs a piece of bacon* Sounds like somethin' Eiji-senpai'd think up. I think it's a good idea, though; I mean, it was really, really great to see both you and Echizen again - it'd be nice to see the others, too. We'll prolly shock each other with what we're all doin'.
Tezuka: *thoughtful, goes about preparing rice for himself* It is good to see Echizen, isn't it? *leans against the counter beside the rice cooker with his arms over his chest* It has been too long since I have seen Kawamura... and just long enough that I wish to once more see Inui and Fuji.
Momo: It is really, really good to see Echizen. It's nice to feel like I have a best friend again. *starts on the eggs* Inui-senpai is actually one of the few who I've actually kept up with, weirdly enough - he helped me a bit through uni. Taka-san's also doin' great, too - the restaurant is as popular as ever.
Tezuka: *frowns a bit* I wonder what trouble Fuji has gotten himself into, then... and Kaidoh, for that matter.
Momo: Last I heard from Kaidou, he's doin' well - been a few months, but we've tried to somewhat keep in touch. *absently gnaws on a piece of bacon, staring at nothing* I dunno if I want to know what Fuji-senpai's doin'.
Tezuka: *lips quirk into a smile* Dangerous, isn't it? Fuji's loose on the world.
Momo: Almost terrifying. *can see Tezuka's smile in the corner of his eye - starts on the last of his eggs* I almost wanna know what that Horio is doin'... actually, no, maybe I don't.
Tezuka: ...*turns to glance at the rice cooker* He must have twelve years tennis experience by now.
Momo: *snickers* He's a prince of tennis.
Tezuka: *gets a bowl for the rice* I'd hate to know what that makes me.
Momo: Hmm. A god of tennis?
Tezuka: ...*scoops out the rice into the bowl and grabs a piece of bacon before having a seat* Flattery gets you nowhere, Momoshiro. *takes a bite of the bacon*
Momo: Sure it does - just maybe not with you. *winks and finishes the eggs, munching on the last piece of bacon*
Tezuka: *pauses with his chopsticks in hand* Maybe it does from the right person.
Momo: Aww, I must not be the love of your life, then. *finishes the bacon with a flourish, grinning like a dork*
Tezuka: *raises an eyebrow* No. As far as I know that person... *trails off* I have not met that person.
Momo: *raises his eyebrow a bit, but doesn't say anything about it* Heh. Oh well, we're still young~ Many, many more years ahead of us. Oishi-senpai's just fast.
Tezuka: *nods a bit, picking at his rice* Oishi has always had great luck in finding people with whom he'll spend the rest of his years.
Momo: He does. I'm almost jealous.
Tezuka: *straightens his shoulders a bit* I am grateful for it. My life is ever-changing and chaotic - I would not have any friends at all were it not for one as persistent as Oishi.
Momo: *rests his elbow on the table* From what Yamato-senpai told me the other day, and what I remember from middle school, I can only imagine what he was like back then.
Tezuka: *sets the rice aside* Exactly the same. He just got better at hiding it over the years.
Momo: *laughs* Would that have anythin' to do with Eiji-senpai?
Tezuka: *looks a bit confused, but shakes his head* I think he just grew into a leader. There are certain things you must set aside when you are in a position to lead others.
Momo: *laughs again and nods* Very true.
Tezuka: And with the girls, he is much more careful about his temperament.
Momo: Oh, good. *wide grin* I take it he has a couple daughters, then?
Tezuka: Yes. The youngest was born in May.
Momo: I wanna meet them~ Oh, I bet they're just adorable. *tries to shove his love for kids down* I bet Oishi-senpai's just a happy daddy.
Tezuka: They are both quite charming. *lets out his breath, slowly* Oishi's very busy, as usual, but I do believe this is the happiest he's ever been.
Momo: Sometime today, can you give me Oishi-senpai's phone number? I'd like to give him a call when I get the chance and wish him a congratulations even if a tad late. <3
Tezuka: Of course. Kikumaru often answers the phone at their home, so you'll want to try his cell if you do not want your ear chatted off.
Momo: *laughs* I'll remember that. I take it Eiji-senpai's there... a lot?
Tezuka: ...He may live there, now, I am not quite certain of how they have arranged it.
Momo: *raises an eyebrow* Oh? Sounds like Eiji-senpai's a bit... attached.
Tezuka: He is part of the family. *takes his dishes to the sink* Moreso than I. He has been with Oishi and Hitomi-san every step of the way. I do not believe this has to do with any sort of lingering... *thinks of the camera* ...You understand.
Momo: *forgot where they were for a moment* ...Yeah, I do. *follows with his own dishes* Oh well, even if I got my ear rambled off, it'd still be nice to talk to Eiji-senpai, too - I'll give a call later.
Tezuka: *glances at his watch, he has gone for his run, but he is not really in the mood to go out and practice* ...Perhaps you would like to join me in the game room? I need to practice my swings. As you said, it is cold outside.
Momo: *laughs* Sounds like a great idea to me~ Better than the cold.
Tezuka: *rinses his dishes and puts them in the dishwasher along with the pan he used for the bacon and eggs* Then I will meet you there. I would like to change first.
Momo: Heh, alright - I should do the same. *puts his dishes in the dishwasher along with Tezuka's* See you there, then.
Tezuka: See you, there. *goes to get changed*
