I'm BACK
I had an amazing time at Heroescon. I spent FAR too much money, but I have some ridiculously gorgeous art that I will post pictures of (Jim Cheung drew me Kate!Hawkeye! Todd Nauck drew me Arrowette! Colleen Coover drew me Babs!Batgirl! I have a million gorgeous prints including the Cliff Chiang Teen Titans as the Breakfast Club! And also Tiny Titans sketches and ALL THE BATGIRLS IN ALL THE WORLD.)
Oh, and I may have bought 12 seasons of Power Rangers. It was TOTALLY WORTH IT.
I did end up going to the DC Nation panel, and we are not discussing it, except to say that Sattler is still an ass and nevermore999 is my hero. But I'm really excited for some upcoming Marvel stuff, and I fangirl Jim McCann and Jeff Parker like crazy. (Seriously, I went into ridiculous fangirl mode on Jim McCann when he told me he wrote the Jubilee story of amazingness in Nation X #2. And then he came up and talked to me while I was waiting to get my Kate!Hawkeye sketch, and asked if I could pick up a Clint!Hawkeye sketch from Cheung while I was waiting, and gave me his sketchbook to get signed, and then when I returned his sketchbook I told him that there should be a Dazzler and Jubilee teamup and he said he would talk to the X-Office. Who might be vampires.) And I am ridiculously excited for Avengers Academy and Thunderbolts.
The trip was pretty much wonderful, and it was so good to see bewize, nevermore999, wabbitseason, likeadeuce and harmonyangel. I'll do an actual con report laterish (ahahaha, I say that now) but for now I am going to finish watching Lost Galaxy since I have my nice new DVDs.
(I am not dealing with either my foot or my car right now. I am just not, because it will make me want to curl up in bed and cry.)
