Title: Torchwood: Angel Grove
Prompt: Billy/Trini fluff
Fandoms: Power Rangers and Torchwood: LA
Word Count: 275

The Angel Grove branch of Torchwood had excellent security, but it wasn’t as if this was the first time he was trying to bypass this sort of system. The system was good - but he knew the person who had set it up. And the fact was, he was better.

Even still, she must have learned a trick or two, because she was waiting for him when he made it into the entranceway.

“Hello, Billy,” Trini said, although not as warmly as she once would have. “Why are you breaking into my institute?”

“Nice to see you too, Trini,” Billy answered her, taking a seat across from her. “It’s been a while.”

“True,” she agreed. “I heard you’d married a fish.”

Billy laughed. “And you believed that?” he asked her. “You know how I feel about fish.”

She smiled, and Billy hadn’t realized until now how much he had missed that. “So what are you doing here?” she asked.

“I came to work for Torchwood,” Billy told her.

“Why?” she asked, her smile fading slightly.

”To protect the world,” Billy said. “Once you get started, it’s pretty hard to stop. With monster attacks as far away as Mariner Bay, you could use the help. And I do have plenty of experience fighting aliens.”

“True,” Trini agreed. “But is that your only reason?”

Billy got up from his chair, and moved closer to her.

“No,” he said softly, and then he kissed her. “This is where you are, so this is where I’ll be.”

“Good,” she said. “Because our first mission is to rendezvous with Captain Jack Harkness - he’s just opened up a branch in Los Angeles.”

Title: Girl Talk
Prompt: Steph and Cissie
Fandoms: DC Comics
Word Count: 107

“Whatever it is, I’m not going to be Arrowette again,” Cissie said firmly as she saw Batgirl climbing through her window.

“Nobody’s asking you to,” Steph agreed as she pushed back her cowl. “Besides, I’m not here on business.”

“Oh?” Cissie said, crossing her arms. “Do you have another reason to be sneaking into my room at two in the morning?”

“Kon asked me out,” Steph said. “And I thought you might be able to give me some advice.”

Cissie grinned. “You and Kon?” she said incredulously, and then she paused. “You know what, I can totally see that.” She gestured to the bed. “Have a seat.”

Title: Training Mission
Prompt: Steph and Jubilee
Fandoms: DC/Marvel
Word Count: 175

“What sort of training mission is this, Wolvie?” Jubilee asked.

“Had a friend call in a favor,” Wolverine replied. “She’s got a new kid who needs some training. You two are going to spar.”

“Right,” Jubilee said, pushing her glasses up off her eyes. “So who is this girl?”

“I’m Batgirl,” another voice spoke up, and a girl about Jubilee’s age was standing there, followed by a redheaded woman in a wheelchair.

“Hello, Logan,” the redhead said. “Been a while.”

“Nice to see you too, Babs,” he agreed. “Younger than I’ve seen you with before.”

“She’s a good kid,” Babs answered. “This must be Jubilee.”

“What of it?” Jubilee asked, crossing her arms.

“Nothing,” Babs said. “I just thought you two could use some practice.”

Jubilee sized up the other girl, and raised an eyebrow at Wolverine, who nodded. She sent some of her fireworks at Batgirl, who barely managed to dodge.

“Hey!” Batgirl protested. “That’s cheating!” She threw a Batarang back at Jubilee, who dodged easily.

Jubilee grinned. This was going to be fun.

Title: Nick of Time
Prompt: Nick of Time
Fandoms: Power Rangers
Word Count: 366

Kimberly wasn’t entirely sure what to do. The other Rangers’ minds had all been captured, and Tommy’s powers were failing, again. She was the only one who still wasn’t affected. She was going to have to do this all on her own.

“Zordon!” she said through her communicator as she made her way out of the monster’s range momentarily. “Do you have any ideas how to beat this guy?”

“I’m afraid that we haven’t yet completed our analysis of the monster, Kimberly!” Alpha’s voice piped up. “We just need you to hold on a few more moments.”

“Unfortunately you don’t have that option,” Zordon said. “The monster’s power is increasing. If he is not destroyed in the next five minutes, he will have gained enough power that he will have a permanent hold on the minds of the citizens of Angel Grove, as well as the other Rangers.”

“I’ll have to stop him then,” Kimberly said. She grabbed her bow, and leapt back at the monster.

“You can’t stop me!” it said to her, as it shot out its mind control rays. Kimberly managed to dodge them, but just barely. An edge of the beam just clipped her, and she felt the helplessness wash over her. She was lost. Rita had won. She just needed to submit to the monster’s will.

A small part of her rebelled against the thoughts. She could do this. She knew that she could do this. She had beaten monsters before, without the other Rangers help. Visions of the Terror Toad and the Snizzard danced before her, and Kimberly knew that she wasn’t going to let a monster beat her. She wasn’t helpless. She would never give up.

The bow snapped into place, and she fired an arrow directly into the monster’s heart. With a strangled scream it turned into space dust.

“Excellent work, Kimberly,” Zordon said in her ear. She blinked, and she could see the other Rangers starting to get up from where they had been lying on the ground. “You defeated the monster with just seconds to spare.”

“I knew I could do it,” Kimberly told him, and then she ran over to help her friends and teammates.
