Whitehorse

I just got back from a week in Whitehorse. It was a bit of a mixed trip, as the Arctic Games (Schoolkids) was on so most of the outdoor things I wanted to do were being used as games venues (including dogsledding), and the weather closed in the day I got there and stayed grey and snowing the whole trip so I couldn't see the lights either. To top it off, I broke my hand.

but the experience was still well worth it and I did have a great time. The hot springs were fun, I loved being in the warm water while it was snowing. Very surreal! I took a dive into the snow then jumped back into the pool a few times too (though the first time is when I broke my hand! lol)

The wildlife reserve was pretty cool too. Got to see all the expected bison, wild sheep and also a lynx and arctic fox. It's funny that I took the time to learn about their habitat, lifecycle and environment, which was all reduced to "OMG! So CUUUTE!" when I saw them. haha

Back in Vancouver now. I will be here for a few days then off to Toronto.

Canada is great. The people are helpful and friendly, and the shop and restaraunt service is awesome compared to home. I'm dying for some fruit and vegetables (that are not potatoees) though. I have found a few good coffee places too. Bean North near the Takhini hot springs has been the best so far by a long shot too.
