History:
Roslyn was born shortly before Texas officially declared independence from Mexico in 1835. Her mother, the Mexican State of Coahuila, left before the war that resulted from the declaration. Roslyn's memories of the war are faint due to her age at the time and consist of a wounded father returning home to rest before leaving for another battle.
After the war was won she had a relaxed toddler-hood, until her father became a state in 1845. Watching him lose his rights after fighting for them cemented her childish determination to return to an independent Texas. Until Texas seceded from the Union again in the Civil War, she spent most of her time helping her father run the ranch (but considering her age she caused more problems than she solved). During the Civil War she worked to coordinate supply shipments and train horses for cavalry units. She wasn't completely for signing the people over to another country, but the Confederacy seemed much more likely to actually listen to concerns, and so she supported the effort. When the Union re-annexed Texas in 1870 and forcibly removed a clause in the constitution that allowed for secession, she was heartbroken and threw herself into caring for her father and learning as much as she could about law and politics for independence the future.
A trio of groups began working for independence again in 1995. Roslyn stayed out of the political arena for five more years to determine which group would prove to be the most even-headed and was very disappointed when two of the groups almost immediately turned to assassination plans and kidnapping to accomplish their goals. She joined the remaining group to work with them in 2003, despite her somewhat low opinion of the "President" Daniel Miller.
Roslyn currently lives in Austin and attends the University of Texas.

Roslyn is head-strong and impulsive. She is friendly but never hesitates to speak her mind, even when it would be better to keep quiet. Her tom-boyish manners come from her almost absolute worship of her father, as does her adherence to real justice and her 'ya get what ya earn' attitude. She gives respect when she gets it.
