A Stray...

I found a stray recently. A cat of sorts, I think... At least, he has cat ears and a tail. It's kind of hard to tell. Most of the time he's a cat but occassionally he looks like a person. He's very young, a kitten not even a month old yet. He has beautiful brown fur and brilliant green eyes. I really like him. I've decided to keep him. I'm not sure

I've heard of such creatures existing, though I've never seen one in person. I wasn't sure that they even really existed.

They exist. Stick around long enough and you might meet him. [He pauses, apparently thinking.] He's a bit of a free spirit so he comes and goes as he pleases. [He is normally quiet, but he'll talk about cats.]

If it wouldn't be a burden I would like to take you up on that offer. [Zexion's naturally very curious about things--something like that catches his attention because it's new. Facinating.] Though it would be rude to ask such a thing of you when we haven't even been introduced yet. My name is Zexion.

Sebastian. [A slight bow.] It won't be a burden at all. I must inform you that I do not stay at this establishment alone. I have two roommates, though neither are currently home. [He won't mention anything more on either of them unless he's asked. This takes place at the apartment because Sebastian wouldn't allow a guest into his master's house. He's much too cautious and proper.]

[There's a scratch at the door, followed by a muffled, soft meow. Sebastian flashes a slight, soft smile.] It seems you're in luck. He's stopped by today.

Aww. Lj hates all of us sometimes. ;__;

A pleasure to meet you, Sebastian. And if I should be a bother to either of your roomates they need only ask me to leave.

[Curiously looking towards the door.]

It keeps crashing on me, usually in the middle of a post T-T

Trust me, Yuu-san and Grace-san will not hesitate to ask you to leave if they wish it.

[He opens the door and a cat is sitting outside the door. It's two tails swish happily when it sees Sebastian. It meows happily and strides inside like it owns the place.] This is Neko-Leiko. He goes by Leiko most of the time. [The cat eyes Zexion curiously, his green eyes bright with intelligence not normal for a cat.]

Ms.Yuu? I wasn't the two of you were aquainted. A small world, as they say.

[He eyes the cat with curiousity, eyes focusing on the split tail for a moment. Then he crouches, peeling a glove off and reaching his now-bare hand out to the cat. He really doesn't know if it will want to approach him though--sometimes animals can tell there's something not-right about him.]

Yes, she's...a good friend. [He doesn't feel comfortable talking about her, not knowing how Zexion knows her. He already talked with Axel and he's not happy with that conversation.]

[Neko-Leiko eye Zexion's hand cautiously before slowly approaching him. He can sense something is different about him, that he's not a normal human. However, he also seems trusted by the man he nows assumes is his master. If his master doesn't have a problem with him... He nudges the hand slightly, sniffing it. His double tails swish slightly.]

[Unlike Axel, Zexion tries his best not to step on anyone's toes. So, sensing a bit of discomfort on the subject he lets it drop. As the cat's head nudges his hand he scratches between it's ears gently with his finger tips. A bit of a smile comes to his lips. Body memory taking over, you might say since he doesn't realize he's doing it. But it seems real enough--because it is. He's not trying to smile and it's just coming naturally.]

[Sebastian silently prepares tea, watching the two of them. It seems he's different from his earlier guest, even if they wear the same uniform. He doesn't seem surprised over the sight of his smile, but he assumes that cats have that effect on people.]

[Neko-Leiko is happy at the attention. Even if he smells different, the hand is kind. He purrs, enjoying the scratching between the ears. He moves his head so the hand sractches behind his left ear and the purring grows louder. Sebastian smiles slightly.] It seems he likes you.

[The smile fades as he turns his attention back to Sebastian. He still doesn't seem aware he was smiling in the first place. He pulls his hand back and straightens up, slipping his glove back on.] Perhaps. Of course, cats are intellegent creatures. Usualy they know that if they behave cutely and let someone pet them, they'll be given food.

[Sebastian doesn't seem offended by the disappearance of his smile. He does seem slightly annoyed by the insult of the stray. He serves the tea cup with slight more force than necessary but it still is quietly placed down.] They are intelligent creatures. However, if he wanted to food, he wouldn't have bothered with you. He comes to me when his hungry and when he's lonely.

[Neko-Leiko is now twirling around Sebastian's legs, purring. It seems content with just rubbing against his pants. Sebastian takes a sip of his tea before beginning to clean everything up.]

[It wasn't an insult. It was just a remark. He was trying to strike up a conversation. But Sebastian's reaction keys him in that it wasn't taken well. He takes a deep breath over the teacup though--he loves the smell of fresh tea. And also, just out of habit from being in the Organization so long. You never know what one of the younger members may slip in your drink there afterall and with his nose he can usualy tell if it's been spiked. He doesn't want another incident like Larxene putting alchohol in his drink. But it smells alright so he takes a sip before replying.]

It was just an off-handed comment on the nature of cats. I do appologize if I've offended you. It was not my intention to do so.

[He's calmed a bit, partically because of Neko-Leiko and partically because he witnessed him sipping the tea. He's slipping back into his polite butler persona. He immediately realizes his reaction could be considered rude.] My apologies as well. It was rude of me to react so. Neko-Leiko is just not often...received well.

[He winces at the memories. Several people had already tried to attack the poor stray in the past. He was lucky enough that his roommates don't seem to mind the cat. He finishes cleaning up, leaving nothing but the teapot and two cups of tea.] You have not offended me. [Just put him on edge a little. He changes the subject.] Is the tea to your liking?

I certainly didn't intend to sound as if I were insulting him. [Another sip of tea.] Actualy, I find him to be quite interesting. A being such as him is quite rare. [Sip sip.] The tea is delicious. Thankyou very much for going through the trouble of preparing it.

[sebbi_chan]

Yes, he certainly is interesting. [He removes his gloves and leans down to pet Leiko. He doesn't comment on the "rare being" part because he doesn't think Leiko is rare. He's a bit dense in some areas, like cats with two tails being rare.]

[He glances up at the second comment.] I'm glad it is to your liking. It was no trouble at all. I quite enjoy preparing tea. [He sits down across from Zexion. It doesn't occur to him that it is rude for a butler to sit across from the guest. His employer always insisted that he did so.] May I ask what brings you to this area, Mister Zexion?
