Again, I'm a little late with this one.
This episode was intense. Sam dillusions in the Panic Room were creepy. Props to Colin Ford for doing an aweosme job and for being extremely creepy, even without the Azazel yellow-eye effect. I couldn't help but feel bad for Sam in his confrontation with Bobby. He needs a man hug. I kept wanting him to just come back into the house, but I know that's not going to happen. Jim Beaver was great in that scene. The was his voice quaked as he talked to Sam showed how painful this all is for him since, as he admits, he loves Sam like a son. The scene with Ruby was expected but I don't know how to take it. I don't understand Sam and Ruby's relationship. It's a sexual, co-dependent relationship in which she's into him for some reason and he just uses her for her demon blood and learning how to get close to Lilith.
The fight scene between Sam and Dean was extremely uncomfortable, just like it was in Sex and Violence. I wanted to leap into my TV and tell the two of them to go out into the hallway, hug it out, and then get back to business hunting down Lilith. But that's not going to happen. Instead it ends with Dean repeating to Sam the line their father said to Sam before he left the family. Great, this bodes well for their brotherly relationship.
And what the hell is up with Castiel? He lets Sam go and abducts Anna. WTF.
Next weeks episode looks like it's going to make me want to pound my head against the wall.
