Here are some pics from the last few months
A trip to Mount Lassen (CA) netted a bunch of life birds, including:
Clark's Nutcracker
American Dipper
Red-breasted Sapsucker
Mountain Chickadee
Not life birds, but we saw this family of
sandhill cranes - I'm linking to the set, as they aren't sized well yet.
Check out this
Allen's (I think) Hummingbird ...and this
Ruby-throated hummer in Maine last week, I saw three Pink-footed Geese - a major vagrant, these were the first reported sightings in Maine - ever. They've been around for a month and more, and have created quite a stir
At Salisbury Beach, I saw Horned Larks
and Snow Buntings
and in the ocean, Red-throated Loons
and an immature Northern Gannet or two
Here's a rather poor pic of a Rusty Blackbird (another lifer), seen in Portsmouth last month.
