I did my weigh in yesterday and there is some improvement. At the beginning of this month the scales showed me at 415lbs. As of saturday I came back down to 398lb. I know that at least half of it is from all that water weight from the swelling. Swelling that was worst than I thought it was. I think I can average out about 2 lbs a week maybe 3. I hope that by the end of January my weight will be down to 370lb.
Progress, yea!
In other news,
I was talking with a friend the other day about a better trilogy of Transformer movies and I got a good reaction from my description of the first movie.
It would go like this. Title is Transformers "Robots in Disguise".
You have your Spike character. We establish that he has a head for machines, and despite dreams of something better he is afraid of leaving his town and his loved ones. Through happenstance he comes upon Bumblebee. Damaged, Bumblebee asks for help from Spike, this is where we get the exposition as to what Cybertronions are and why they are on Earth.
We find that the War between Autobots and Decepticons ended with the exile of autobot rebels leaving Cybertron under the control of Megatron. The autobots take on the appearance of vehicles and other heavy machines living peacefully in exile on Earth.
But now, after several years Megatron has sent his minions out to Earth to destroy the exiled rebel heros, violating the conditions of the end of the war.
Bumblebee and a few others tried to send a transmission to Cybertron about this violation. With Megatron breaking the treaty this means that the Primes can come out of hiding and rally the troops and people to free Cybertron.
Bumblebee is unsure if the transmission got through and needs to get to location X to see if the Primes sent a general to gather the exiled. He asks for Spikes help becuas of his affinity with machines will help if there are other damaged autobots when they get to location X
The point of the whole movie is to develop a relationship between Spike and Bumblebee. It is also to make our lead human to leave his familiar world and to grow and relaize his full potential. Over the corse of the trip from A to B we meet some autobots with htier own stories and some join up with Bumblebee, like Ironhide, Jazz, Prowl, and Ratchet. All are low on energy and damaged making it difficult to fight off the Decepticons that they come up against. In this movie we get some dialog from the Decepticons but we do not get into showing their personality just stick with them as hunters after the Autobots.
Optimus is not shown throughout act 1 and 2. Instead we have teasers, showing various vehicle forms of Optimus from generations of toys. Same color and models all in the background and none him. While a risk not having Optimus from the beginiing I would hope that a grand third act will make it worth while.
We come into the 3rd act. The damaged and tired autobots have been hounded by the decepticons up till now. In act 2 we find out that the Primes did send Optimus but he was heavily damaged before landing and if still alive he is in a repair mode hiding at the final location that the autobots are headed to.
We now have the 3rd act battle, The autobots have to work together to try and keep the decepticons as bay. As the autobots take down a couple of decepticons they find that Optimus is nearby. The Decepticon hunters continue the fight as Megatron enters the scene. He wants to personally see the end of the autobot lieutenants. While he monologues the autobots start to loose. Taking a lot of damage the autobots fall one by one nearly offline. Once Bumblebee falls Megatron comes forward and confronts Bumblebee. Megatron orders the execution of Bumblebee and before the shot is fired you hear the voice of Optimus in the background. All action stops and looks to the the shadows, you hear the transformation and see the silhouette of Optimus stand. He moves forward into the light as damage sparks form he body. He charges MEgatron with treachery and war crimes. Megatron orders the hunters to attack. Optimus takes the m out quickly. Sparking, damaged and weakened Optimus challenges Megatron and they fight.
MEgatron has the upper hand, before the last blow the other autobots rush in and distract Megatron, giving Spike just enough time to come in and reroute power for Optimus to make his come back, heavily damage Megatron and driving him away.
This ends the first movie and sets up for the next one.
I don't know nothing about setting up a movie but to me I want character development and meaningful action with a movie like this. Keep the cast small and the pacing steady. But that is what I would like in a movie.
