Where are we now
Been a little while.
For some reason the last couple of weeks have been either busy or I have just not been feeling well. The shifting between rainy days to boiling hot days to muggy days does not sit well with me. But on the up side the overcast helped with my house cooling bill.
It was pretty good. Adding a cat door to the mud room so I can keep that door closed dropped the house temp by two degrees and adding the fan to let the air flow better dropped it again. So I went from 85 in the afternoons to 80 in the afternoons. Dropped my energy usage from last year almost by half. Still, the bill is high >.<
Art, I got lazy again but not really. I try to spend some time arting at work during lunch and trying to get a schedule down at home. I figure I could supplement my paychecks with donations and selling art and decals if I just try. :P So I am going to get an update out this weekend and add a not official paypal donation to my site. and mention it on my DA as well.
Also bringing back the 3.50 sketches at a 5 dollar B/W. I got the idea from another net artist of offering B/W, halftones, and then color. I just have to say no at some time when people ask for more commissions. So I will be booking it on coloring and sketching this weekend. I have to try and stay focused this weekend and make an effort this time.
Work is slow and the bosses are a little worried about this next two months. We just got a huge screen printer that prints up to 4'x6' which will speed up production and add new screen printing options to customers. Just need to see how busy we are going to be for the next month.
Going to Dr sketchy for the first time in three months next week. I am hoping to have one of the sketchy pieces finished by then and printed. I really need to exploit options that have been presented to me. Its that damn lack of initiative that has kept me from expanding out. Lazy makes you loose money >.<
I need to think if some stuff to draw and offer as prints. Something thematic but general enough that it will sell well for the one month that people will care for it.
That is the one thing that sucks about being a net artist. if you sell something you are going to get a burst of activity in the first month and then a huge drop off after that. Have to take advantage when you can.
