starting with Mithrasmas

I have to say that Mithrasmas was probably the best ritual/party I have ever been to. First there were lovely people there, Joe and Angel and Samantha, Lou and Colleen, Sam and Tara, Sharon and Winter, Morpheus and Shannon, a couple whose name I never learned, Gaddy and Grace, James,Kristen and Eric(briefly) and David. I think that is all. It was a lovely meal and ritual and we hung out until 10:00pm. Gave Tara Reiki upstairs and info poured out regarding energy work and healing and all sorts of stuff.
I am blessed to be part of this community,

It has been a pretty quiet vacation. Rachel came over and spent a Thursday (?) night with me, and that was fun. On Friday, though, when Lee came over it was not so much fun. He was very picky about Rachel buying another calendar and made a snarky comment about her giving the first one she bought to me for the office. I don't think that he realizes sometimes how snarky he gets over small amounts of money and how little sense that makes. If he is giving Rachel autonomy over the money she has (and he does) then he needs to do that 100%. If not he needs to sit down and figure out some guidelines and stick to them. And he needs to realize that how I spend my money is none of his business; we are not married. I do what I can for her and have upped what I gave her monthly when she went to college; picked up her insurance, and do what I am able in regards to extras, be it haircuts, or giving her what I can like the teapot. I think it is best that I keep my money business to myself going forward so that he does not resent that I give her less.

There has been no pot all week which has been kind of a drag, mostly because I am spending a lot of time all by myself and a little would have been nice. On the other hand I have done some projects around the apartment that I never get to. Filing box was gone through as well as dresser drawers and drawers in kitchen. I found a lot of stuff to throw out, including incense powders from Enchantments which were over 10 years old. Boy did they stink! In addition I shampooed the rugs, and redid some of the wall and altar stuff. Today I will finish with provision at Trader Joes and do my laundry. That will pretty much leave tomorrow open and I will be ready to go back to work. I just looked at work email and it looks like nothing major happened while I was gone. Yipee!

I realized last night that I have gotten exceptionally lazy regarding lodge work. I was reading the Qabalah book and realized my brain has not been self challenged for awhile. If I ever am going to become an adept and go through the 5=6 as Joseph and James and Barbara have, I need to get off my ass and get motivated and stay that way. It won't happen without sustained effort. On the other hand I have been doing an hour of yoga or exercise a day and plan on setting up my morning to continue it after work starts. It just means no computer in the am, I have to use that time to prepare my meals for work and have everything ready to go so I can just shower after the hour of yoga.

Again and again I must bring myself back to the point of recognizing that if my life is not satisfying I am the only person who can change it.

On that note I will close for today.

PS got a new waist bag and cell phone holder with the money my Mom sent. In addition I got a break when I realized that Comcast can be paid on the 5th instead of from the last December check. So I was able to take advantage of a 20% off sale with Pacifica and get the Tunisian Jasmine candles I am hooked on and some more soap. It was a blessed and abundant end of the year; thanks to the Universe and all the gods. And I almost forgot that on Wednesday I was able to give Joe a "quick and dirty" Reiki I. So everyone that asked with the exception of Gaddy was able to get Reiki I. Soon I will be planning for the Reiki II classes.
