I agree with this. People who hate themselves often do act as though they are the world. it is what is known as a "defense mechanism".
And what of it?
So they lack self-confidence...and then what? If you're looking for the perfect person with nary a flaw you're going to be looking for a long time, dear, and you won't ever have to check the mirror, either.
Even then your “announcements” are feeble and accomplish nothing but make me feel better about myself.

I only know a couple people who actually use their main LJ to post to pro-ana communities. They do hide it like mad. No one wants their family and friends to know, no one. Hence why pro-ana communities exist in the first place, to give people severely isolated in their mental disorders some solidarity, even though it's ended up solidarity & starvation. People who fear this kind of rage need somewhere to go and people who have seen this kind of rage will almost never trust an anti-ana community.
You all know NOTHING of truly being anorexic.
You might disagree, but the disease anorexia has nothing to do with pro-ana communities and you can be anorexic whether you do or do not post to one. In case you didn't know, you can read the DSM guidelines here. Notice they mention nothing about LJ, Blue Dragonfly or any of the other pro-ana biggies and are a set of behaviors, actions and mindset that exist independent of a person's moral character. So while you feel a person may be immoral and terrible for posting to pro-ana communities, that immorality has nothing to do with the actual disease of anorexia and cannot be used to diagnose or reject diagnosis of the disease.
