Notes: Poor angsty Jean. I need to make it up to him with some fluff one of these days.
It built up within him, like a pot on the stove, bubbling and churning to the boiling point. He lashed out at the closest victim, a cute nurse who he now had no chance of asking out on a date.
And what was worse was that he didn't care.
After she left the room he did the only thing he could- stare at the tiles on the ceiling and ignore the seething anger lingering below the surface.
He was mad at that bitch for doing this to him. He was mad at the Colonel for saving his life when he would rather die than be stuck as an invalid for the rest of his life. But mostly he was mad at himself for being stupid- he was lured in with pretty eyes and big breasts, and it'd cost him dearly.

A knock on the door brought him out of his mental stupor.
"How're you doing, Lieutenant?"
"How do you think, *sir*?"
The raven haired man stared at him for a moment. There was a flash of anger at the insubordination, quickly replaced by pity.
"What if I told you that I found a way to help you catch up?"
Suddenly anger was replaced by something that he hadn't felt in what seemed like a lifetime- hope.
"I'm listening..."
