Damn... new obsessions....
Wel crap, I have two new obessions, more money I am sure I don't need to spend. They are related, though it doesnt seem so on the surface.
And the two new obsessions are: The anime Trigun, and the electronica band, PLID.
I knew about Trigun for a long time, people had talked about it, but I never thought much of it, until I found a pic of a Vash Cosplayer raising his hand in the air trumphantly in front of a Krispy Kreme donut shop.
I thought that was funny, but didn't realize at the time the real joke behind it. It piqued my curiosity and I looked online for some Trigun info. I eventually found someone on You Tube who has all 26 Trigun episodes posted. I got through 9 of them in one night, and I already have ordered the box set. I can't wait to get my hubby to watch it. I think he may like it. He likes FMA and Nerima Daikon Brothers, so I think he will like it.
So, what does that have to do with the electronica band, PLID? Well, it is a bit of a seven degrees stretch, but PLID used to have three members. One of the members (the one who left) is also a voice actor in anime, though he did not have a voice in Trigun.
Admittedly, I found the band because of that VA, but I have actually grown to like the band and their songs, and I may try to pick up one of their albums soon.
The funny thing is that I don't like eletronica as a general rule, but they sounds very 80's new wave and dance, and that is the stuff I grew up on and loved.
