New texting plan- new number.
Okay, so some of you knew that I have one phone with a 407(central FL) number that I have used for like close to ten years now. And recently (a month an a half ago) I was tired of not being able to text... so I got one of those pay as you go phones with unlimited texting and data.
The reason I couldn't text on the other phone (besides that fact that it was a dinosaur with no keyboard) was that I am on a family plan (read- I don't pay for it) and my father didn't want texting.
SO... finally, my father sprung on me yesterday that our Sprint contract was coming due and he was looking into new phones and a plan that included texting. So I go out to lunch with the parents today (they just came back from a trip to see our family in Italy and brought me back some Nutella, I LOVE MY PARENTS!!) and then after lunch (mmm... Pad Thai with enough leftovers for dinner) we went to the Sprint store. I got me a blue LG Remarq with a pullout keyboard and unlimited texting and 1500 minutes (plus weekends, sprint to sprint, after 7 pm etc). It doesn't have any data, like the pay as you go phone does, but honestly, the only data I would do would be either IMing or checking mail, so it really isn't a big deal.
Okay, so TL:DR- for those of you who have my 407 number, starting tomorrow (that is 21 April 2011) you can text me at that number. If you don't have my number and want it, send me an email or a PM here and I can give it to you.
Just a forewarning, if I am at work, I CANNOT check or return texts. So if I don't get back to you that is why. (I tend to work weekends and afternoon-late nights, so that is when I am least likely to get back to you.
Ah, now to change all my contacts over and get in touch with everyone. This should be cool.
And a PS: The pay as you go phone will expire on or around 11 May 2011, so most likely if you try to text or call me on that phone then, it won't work.
