Room 314 | Tuesday | Evening | November 2

Without classes to fill his time, Percy had spent several hours down in the salle, wearing himself out and making his arm burn with the exertion of training. He didn't know why he was training harder here than he had back at camp but it just seemed like something he had to do. He didn't want to go back and be rusty.

Luke, that version of Luke, would easily kill him if he wasn't at his sharpest. Percy dropped Riptide on his desk and used the bottom of his shirt to wipe the sweat off his brow. As each day passed, the two versions of Luke were becoming more and more separate in his head. He didn't know if that was good or bad. Right now, he knew it was good because he could be around Luke and not want to kill him. He worried about it when he went home.

Percy found himself staring at the fountain on his desk but not really seeing it. There were too many thoughts and he was tired enough to let those thoughts overwhelm and envelop him. This island had changed a lot of things for him.

Percy took a breath and shook himself out of his reverie. Dwelling on these things wouldn't do anything. Instead, he spent time trying to find some clean clothes to wear while unwinding. The sweaty hair, sweaty clothes look had to go.
