Room 314 | Evening | Friday | December 23

Dec 23, 2011 18:16

Percy figured he'd catch a portal home for Christmas day, at least, and spend it with his mom and Paul but other than that, he hadn't been feeling the Christmas spirit this year. He'd never been really into it but this year had been worse than previous years. He'd just been in a funk for awhile and hadn't been able to get out of it ( Read more... )

Being dead and then not being dead and then suddenly zapped to Fandom had sort of left Luke's head spinning, but once he realized where Apollo sent him he wasted no time making his way to the dorms and up to the third floor. There was a lot to deal with and think about but right now there was one thing on his mind. Dealing with what had happened could come later.

He actually knocked on the door to 314 hurriedly once or twice before getting frustrated and just popping into the room.

Well, that certainly wasn't what Percy expected to have happen tonight. He scrambled into a sitting position before eventually just getting up and giving Luke a wary eye. He failed to say anything.

Well Luke couldn't blame Percy for looking at him warily considering he was still wearing the broken armor and torn and bloody clothes he had died in. The blood was dried at least, and Luke appeared to be in perfect shape despite what he was wearing.

He just stared back at Percy for a moment or two, unsure of what to say now that he was here.

"I'm back."

Okay he was just gonna go with stating the obvious.

"...that is apparent," Percy said, still looking at Luke warily. "You look like crap."

Uh, welcome back, Luke.

"Refried crap."

Yep.

"I actually used to look a lot worse, if you can believe it," Luke said with a brief smile. He didn't know what he expected ('cause he didn't really expect to come back at all), but he didn't expect for his homecoming to be this awkward.

"Worse?" Percy was kinda wondering how that was possible. There were tons of things he wanted to ask, tons of things he wanted to say but, in the end, one thing won out.

He stepped forward and hugged Luke just about as hard as he could manage. If he was still working for Kronos and being all evil, he'd deal with that later by punching him in the face.

Luke hugged Percy back, trying not to get all emotional over doing something he never thought he'd get to do again. He nuzzled against Percy's neck and sighed. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too," Percy mumbled, closing his eyes and trying to ignore the feel of torn armor and bloody clothes underneath his fingers. "You're such a jerk and you're an idiot but I missed you."

Luke smiled against Percy's neck, not really believing that he had missed being called a jerk. "I'm not even sure how long I've been gone here."

It's not like he passed a calendar when he was running through the dorms.

"Over a month," Percy said into the skin of Luke's neck. "How long's it been for you?"

"Over a year," Luke murmured. "I'm not leaving again though. It's all over."

After seeing the look on Apollo's face, Luke wasn't sure if he wanted to share much about what happened, but he could at least say that much.

"A year," Percy breathed before stepping back and looking at Luke's face. "You're old."

Okay, that had just slipped out and he cracked a smile to temper it but a year was a damn long time.

"Yeah, and I'm never gonna tell you how old I actually am either," Luke said, shaking his head. "You'd never let it go."

"Are you like thirty?"

Percy was honestly asking and hoping it wasn't true because that'd be just weird.

"No!" Luke gave Percy's shoulder a shove. "Do I look thirty?"

"How old are you?" Percy asked because, well, now he wanted to know because Luke had made him curious.
