Ultimate wish fulfillment
I really want to write OT5 cuddles fic.
Just.. Niall is tired and sad and just hanging around on the couch, and Zayn notices, and instead of trying to comfort him (like Liam would) or poking him (like Louis would) or throwing things at him and making kissy faces (like Harry would), Zayn just plops down next to him and slowly starts inching his way into Niall's arms, and before Niall's really had time to figure out what's happening, Zayn's already got his arms wrapped around Niall's waist, and Niall's arms are around Zayn's shoulders, and Zayn's head just fits perfectly into the space between Niall's shoulder and head, and he can feel Zayn's breath against his collar bone, and Niall just tightens his arms around him and sinks down a bit to settle in a bit better.
And Liam's lying in his bunk in the tour bus sometimes and Zayn's phoning Perrie, and Harry and Niall are off to look for food and Louis is whatever the heck Louis is doing, and Liam's so alone because Danielle's gone and the other's are all in their usually rhythm and Liam hasn't got a rhythm anymore because usually, now would be when he'd skype her. He just.. misses the idea of her, honestly. It hadn't been.. fun for a while. Just silences and disappointment. And then Louis comes in and just sort of stretches out his arms like he's two years old and want's a hug, and Liam's just sitting up and has an armful of warm, soft Louis and he can press his face into Louis' shoulder because when they're sitting like this, Louis is the perfect height for that. So he buries his face in Louis shirt, and Louis just travels his hands up and down his back in a repetitive motion, and Liam knows that for once Louis won't mock and make a joke of it all.
And it would just carry on like that, everyone cuddling everyone, first in twos, then in threes, then in fours.. which would make them feel weird, because one person is all alone, so then OT5! Ultimate comfort schmoop. (Yes I have made a plan-map in my journal because I am weird and I plan things so nobody gets left out. I am bad at maths, though, so I'm not actually sure whether I've got all the possible possibilities..)
Tbh, it's all Naya's fault, because she makes me want hugs. SO THERE.
