All The Way Home

It's been a long day and I know it's time to go home when I realise I've been reading this chart for the last ten minutes without taking in a thing. I clean my office quickly and then lock up before I search for Cristina. I'm sure she's probably also working on some charts somewhere so I look by the nurses stations first before moving onto the call

I glance up from my papers, "Yeah, in a minute."

"Okay," I say, stretching out on the bed behind her. I hope a minute does really mean a minute.

I look down at him stretched out and I smile faintly, my fingertips tracing over his arm, back and forth, as I read my papers over.

I fold one arm behind my head, watching her read her papers so intently.

I finish reading over my stuff and I set it off to the side and I catch him watching me out of the side of my eye, "What?"

"Nothing," I say, shaking my head with a small smile.

[drcristinayang]

"Mm," I answer, leaning over to kiss him briefly, "let's go home."

[drpburke]

"Let's," I reply, kissing her a little deeper. "Maybe with a detour for food on the way."

[drcristinayang]

"Definitely. As long as it's carry out."

[drpburke]

"What else would it be?" I ask, standing from the bed.

[drcristinayang]

"I don't know. I don't want to sit anywhere though."

[drpburke]

"Oh no, I don't think I could do that tonight," I reply. "What would you like?"

[drcristinayang]

I smirk, "You know what I like."

[drpburke]

I laugh, "What would you like to eat for dinner?" I ask, looking over at her.

[drcristinayang]

"Whatever you want, baby. I'm sure you're over Chinese."

[drpburke]

"I don't understand how you can't be over Chinese," I say.
