Searching for apartment and/or weekly rental
My request: I'm looking for an apartment/room in shared house somewhere preferably in or around the U-District, and preferably not much more than $650 a month. Some place that offers short term or month-to-month lease is a must.
I know it would be easier to search the neighborhood in person, but at the moment I'm crashing at my dad's place down in Vancouver (WA), so if anyone can suggest a reasonably-priced weekly rental place in the Seattle area where I can stay until I find something more permanent, that would help too!
(Extended version): All the online apartment listings only seem to list luxury apartments with $1000+/mo. studios, and Craigslist has been a disappointment too as I have sent in close to 20 emails over the past couple weeks, and have had only 1 reply (and when I went in to look at the place it was a complete dump. It will do for a month or so but if there's something better out there I'd prefer not to live in a fly-infested stink hole).
