I am looking for a pho restaurant with the sketchiest location/ambiance. Bonus if the pho is actually good....

Hoang Lan

7119 Martin Luther King Jr Way S
(between Myrtle St & Othello St)
Seattle, WA 98118
Neighborhood: Rainier Valley

Basically, take Light rail to the Othello stop, and it's right there. The place itself is small and dingy, they will be playing some Vietnamese variety show on DVD on a TV in the corner, and if you're lucky, prefect strangers will sit at your table unbidden and then try to teach you how to eat pho. Thank you, random Vietnamese grandmother! I already knew, but thank you for the company anyways!

However, they have some excellent pho, and coffee so strong it can peel paint.

Pho Bac inside the Greyhound station. Go to the bathroom to really enjoy the experience.

OK, this seconded. Excellent pho, and Greyhound is pretty sketchy.

Try to get a table with a view into the lobby for yay and win.

The first time I ate pho years ago we went to Pho Tai in Lakewood/Parkland/Tacoma on South Tacoma Way. To call this place a sketchy location is to put it mildly seeing as they are open from like 9am to 4am. Awesome. Plus their pho is great! I know it is a drive, but it is totally worth checking out if you are already in that area!!!
