I don't know who he is, but it's an understatement to say that it sucks for anyone to have to die like this.

Smoking is the leading cause of fire deaths. The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association ) estimates that nearly one in four people killed in fires in the United States were killed in smoking-related fires.

If you must smoke, do so outside, and never smoke in bed.

holy shit, I heard about the comet tavern bouncer that got killed in a fire....I was totally in denial that it wasn't Ben, I'm assuming this memorial is tonight. I'll be there.

I'll attest to what everyone knows about Benny. He is the kindest, most loving, cheerful, gentle, generous person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Someone asked what he was like the other day and I said, "take the most positive, friendly person you know, multiply 100x, and put them in a perpetual good mood. That's the Ben I know."

True that. Even in school he was always an absolute sweetheart (most people aren't) and I never saw him in a bad mood.

understandable. your situation is sad, but it's hard to make fun of a dead guy when so many people are saying he's awesome and when there's a picture of him.

i was going to say that he looks like he's pointing to the spam above him, but that's not really offensive. sorry.
