I have two large bags of gently used clothing, mostly women's casual pants and shirts in sizes 6-12, that I've been trying to figure out where to donate all morning. The YWCA at 5th and Seneca isn't returning my call, and their website indicates that they only want work clothes. The Friends of Youth only takes new clothing. The clothing closet at Harborview won't accept any clothing from private individuals. I tried the Community Information Line, but they didn't have any suggestions.
I *can* just dump these in a Goodwill box on my way home, it would be way easier than the runaround I've been getting, but I would rather they go to someone who might not be able to afford even Goodwill clothes, if I can. Any suggestions as to places that might take donations? Downtown, University District or east-side preferred, if possible.
