Update the Memories
Hey seattle, the first thing listed on our profile info is to check the memories. It's also what we yell at people to do when they ask (stupid) questions.
However, the memories haven't been updated since 2007! Even if one were to check them, it's at the point where they'd have to post and ask if that info was even up to date. Plus, there have been a ton of new questions that people here have answered really well recently that aren't touched on in the memories. They deserve their own spot for easy future reference as well.
I know ninaf is the owner of seattle, but are there any other mods? Someone should have the job of updating the memories regularly so that we can continue to snark the shit out of people and smear their laziness in their faces. EDIT: Tags are another way to categorize entries and ANYONE can tag posts... anyone want to volunteer to go back through entries and tag shit / can seattle get better about tagging stuff in general?
And, as it wouldn't be fair for me to bitch without being willing to put in the work to fix it, I will step up as the first volunteer to help add things to the memories. With this economy and level of unemployment, there has to be a couple other people in here who need something to do and could help out. Any takers?
