Another semester has started
Woot. Weekend was okay. Derek had to leave town Thursday night because his grandpa died, and he had to fly to New Jersey early Friday morning. He was pretty upset, because he was pretty close with his grandpa and has lots of good memories with him, but also because his mom is devastated by her dad's death. I feel for him for the loss and the hard times they're going through right now, and because he's missing 3 days of school, which always stresses him out. And selfishly, I miss him and won't see him until Tuesday night probably. I thought it might be good that he was out of town as far as my schoolwork goes, but no such thing. I've probably been worse about procrastinating since he's been gone because I am more distracted. Somehow it's already 3 pm and I have to get ready for work tonight. And I've done a little reading for one class. Out of 5 classes. Way to go. Going into week 2 and I'm already behind.... I need to buck up and just DO it. I will TRY to get some HW done after work tonight, and tomorrow after class, and Tuesday before class. And I need to go for a run or bike ride or hit the gym sometime too!
