Author's Note: I worked in both of them for the best friend fic! Yay! I think Chelsea's going to get the "Siblings" prompt as well, but I'm glad I got William in.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI:NY. They're owned by CBS. William belongs to
goddess_loki. However, I do own Eva and all other original characters, so please don't steal them.
“Whadaya wanna watch?” Eva asked as she plopped back down on her couch next to William. While the two of them had originally had plans to go out it had decided to pour sheets of water from the sky, and they decided they would be better off staying in than going out.
“Something funny,” he replied. “I don’t really have a preference other than that.”
“I’m feeling like The Incredibles,” she said with a nod.
“The animated one?” he asked, making a face.
“Yup. One of the best kid’s movies ever. Is there a problem with it?”
“Well-it’s a kid’s movie.”
“Have you seen it?”
“Bits and pieces.”
“You have to see the whole thing to get the full Incredibles experience.”
“Fine-but I get to pick the next one.”
“Fair enough,” she nodded, before getting up and moving over to the cabinet with her DVDs in it. She was just pulling out the box when the front door flew open, and a very wet Chelsea made her way into the entryway. “Chels-what happened to you?”
“It’s fuckin’ flooding out there,” she mumbled. She walked over to the door of the living room, and she was surprised when she saw William. “William! Hi! Didn’t-expect to see you here.” Her tone wasn’t happy surprised, more disappointed surprised.
“Hi, Chelsea,” William frowned. “Not happy to see me?”
Chelsea gave him an apologetic smile, before turning to Eva. “I thought you were going out.”
“I was,” she nodded. “But it’s raining.”
“Yes, I realized that,” Chelsea replied, before shaking her head. “But I thought you were going out.”
“I just told you,” Eva said, giving her friend a confused look. “What’s your problem?”
“Is there something wrong, Chelsea?” William asked.
“Well-and I mean this with all the affection in the world-but you’re gay,” Chelsea said with and awkward smile, and William smirked slightly.
“This has never been a problem for you before.”
“Yes, well-you’re gay, and she needs to get laid. Therefore, your not being straight isn’t really doing much for her in that department.”
“Oh, God,” Eva groaned. “We’re not going back to this again.”
“Eva, it’s been over a year,” Chelsea sighed, placing her hands on her hips. “You need to get laid.”
“OK, regardless of whether or not I need to have sex in my life,” she began. “What does this have to do with me hanging out with William?”
“I thought you were hanging out with Don.”
“Don?” William asked, perking up slightly. “Who’s Don?”
“He’s a friend,” Eva replied to William, before turning back to Chelsea. “William and I have a standing thing every month. You know that.”
“Yeah,” she sighed, running a hand through her hair, and turning to William. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to be-I’m just having a really crappy day.”
“It’s OK,” William replied, before Eva walked over and plopped back down next to him.
“I take it your plans with the sextoy fell through?”
“He had to work late,” she replied, before looking down at her wet clothes. “And this weather sucks.”
“Well, me and William ordered a couple pizzas, and we’re gonna watch movies,” Eva sighed, moving over to rest her head on William’s shoulder. “If you wanna join us-”
Chelsea hesitated for a minute. “If you don’t mind, William-”
William shook his head. “Fine with me.”
“OK,” she nodded. “I’ll go change then.” She disappeared down the hallway, and William turned to Eva with a look.
“She has a sextoy now?”
“This guy she’s been screwing,” she replied, rolling her eyes. “She doesn’t see him as a boyfriend, which sucks for him because he’s actually a decent guy, and is going to have to work very hard to get her to see him as more than what she does.”
“Ah,” William nodded.
“This isn’t going to be weird for you, right?” she said, shifting so that she was facing him more. “Because I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
“No, it’s fine,” he replied. “She deserves to unwind just as much as the rest of us.”
“OK,” Eva sighed, before curling into him again. “Because you’re both my best friends. I hope you can at least tolerate each other.”
“I don’t hate her,” he murmured, sliding an arm around her shoulders. “She didn’t do anything wrong. She could have ended things in a better way, but she didn’t cheat on him.”
“Good,” Eva sighed, relaxing a little more.
“Has it really been a year?” William asked, giving her a look.
“Yeah-we’ve known each other a year,” she sighed. “Kind of scary thought, right?”
“A little, yeah,” he said with a grin. “It’s been a good year.”
“Yes, it has.”
“I have to agree with her, though.”
“About what?” she frowned.
“You do need to get laid.”
“Oh, God, not you too,” she groaned, burying her face in his shoulder. “Of all the things you could agree on, it had to be that.”
“Had to be what?” Chelsea asked as she reemerged from the room clad in sweats, and moving over and sitting cross-legged on the floor next to the couch.
“I think she needs to get laid,” William clarified.
“Well, ya do,” Chelsea sighed, before looking up at the TV. “What are we watching first?”
“The Incredibles,” Eva replied as Chelsea reached for the remote to turn it on.
“Good times,” Chelsea nodded, before leaning back to enjoy the movie.
