I'm going back to the start and read all - just wanted to say how great it is that you went back to complete your story. I think that's great I hate to see works that have so much time and effort left as permanent WIP - something about that just makes me sad.

I had a whole sequence of problems and things getting in the way, from family bereavement to higher education, marrying off two daughters and Covid. But it always nagged at me, because I was so very clear in my head where I wanted it to go. I agree, abandoned WIPs are sad things.
